Well-- we just did the final run through together... we organized paperwork, went over some information and said Salam! I won't talk to him again until after the interview isA.

We're all set minus the new police certificate which he'll pick up tomorrow

Guys, I paid my AOS and IV bills on the 29th of March and they are still in process!! I am little concerned now, cause I am planning on sending my packages tomorrow by over night mail! Should I wait till it shows paid, cause that won't be a good thing if they get it and it's still not paid! :S

Just a note: it's not even been one full business day since you paid.

Finally got the NVC number!

NOA2: March 11, 2013

NVC Case Number: April 1, 2013

Woohoo, grats! kicking.gif Did you get the IIN? Did you give over both email addresses?

I thought you couldn't get the bar code sheet to mail them in before they show as paid?

Nope, they changed that I think last year or the year before. Now, the bar-coded cover sheets are available as soon as you pay.

Well-- we just did the final run through together... we organized paperwork, went over some information and said Salam! I won't talk to him again until after the interview isA.

We're all set minus the new police certificate which he'll pick up tomorrow

Good luck on his interview!! Can't wait to hear the good news of approval :)

Woohoo, grats!

If I had to guess, with the expedite approved, they'll probably wrap up your case in a day or two, then either get an interview date assigned right away and then ship it, or vice versa. You'll need to stay in contact with NVC every day to find out what's going on.

One more question... Will the embassy write to our emails or will they contact directly my wife?

Thanks!

Thanks Saylin-- You've been a vital help as has everyone that has contributed passed experiences. I've been briefing my husband. He said he is taking a notebook and pen to the interview and will write down what he can remember.

Quick question-- the medical people told him he needs to bring his xrays to the interview/embassy. Is that true?

Just called NVC...

2 good news :-)

- They received the IV packet and it is in "final review" (not sure what that means but surely close I guess)

- My expedite request has been accepted! (I guess the embassy will contact us to set the interview date, right???)

Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel... thanks to all here and especially the ones who go above and beyond.

I thought you couldn't get the bar code sheet to mail them in before they show as paid?

Nope, you can print the barcode sheet as soon as you pay. It will stay in process and change to Paid in a few days, but since it takes so long for them to review at this point, it makes no difference, just print the barcode right away after paying and send it in.

I'm not sure if it's the same with all embassies/consulates, but it wasn't needed in Montreal. I still brought it with me though. The purpose of the X-Ray (besides checking if anything is wrong with you) is for the beneficiary's new doctor in the US so the doctor can have something to compare to if something goes wrong.

No, for the FIL you'd put the amount from the transcript on question 25, then his own individual income on 23. For the MIL, the amount from the transcript would be in question 11, and then her own individual income in 10.

The amount on the transcript is their COMBINED income. No where on the transcript will you find individual income (if filed jointly).

As long as they have some valid email address, it really doesn't matter.

Fingers crossed, hopefully this'll be the last question about the I864 + I864A. I'm almost 99% sure I'm right but double checking..does my FIL list himself as the first joint sponsor and my MIL as the second joint sponsor?
