If you will read more and search more on whats happening here, you will understand if some are already dis appointed with the current I129F processing. VSC is on 6 to 8 mos.,while CSC is on 8 to 10 mos., so far. Hopefully you'll be one of those lucky ones. 2 mos.? that is so rare, but who knows! You feel like you've been waiting for a year. Well, we feel like we've been waiting for a lifetime now. Good luck!

Apparently, some service centers have Haiti on expedite. I went through the same one as you, VSC, and called for months to request the expedite and did not receive one. It worked out fine for us; but you can try and call and mention the other ones such as CSC and try your luck!

Look at @selavi, @patou70, and @daviseri's outlines and maybe contact them!

Good luck!

All of us here have or are going through some stage of USCIS / NVC, their are no short cuts or quick finishes unfortunately. Patience and Skype are the solutions, and looking at other time lines.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

From what I've seen on the forum, petitions for Haiti receive an automatic expedite. So you may just get lucky! But one month is still pretty optimistic. And after the petition is approved you still have to go through NVC and the foreign US embassy. Best of luck to you and your fiancé!

I'm pretty sure the expedite is not automatic. The OP needs to request it. OP - you can request the petition expedited because your fiance is from Haiti. You can read the criteria on this page and call the USCIS Customer service line. No guarantee you can get it (mtcmk1 didn't get it) but worth a try.

As Lyricolan and mtcmk1 has stated there is a chance that your case will find itself expedited because the case involves a Haitian, though if you have not gotten an A2 yet and it has been a month the numbers indicate to me that you are not likely one of the lucky Haitian applications that were (or are), for some reason clearly expedited, and appears to have been done so without the petitioner asking as both parties who show recent short transit times comments indicate surprise.

Let's back up a bit.

If one searches you find many cases of expedited cases ranging from 6 days to a month or so.

Searching through some I found military involvement which appears to be a clear cause for expedition (yes I know that word cannot be used there but I like it) (expedition = journey, but you get the point)

This leaves several other cases of very short duration.

One I simply do not believe. Remember I could put in today's date on my A1 and next week change my timeline saying that I have received my A2 even if it is not so. Why would someone do that? I'm not allowed to discuss it so I'll only say that if someone is touting any way to expedite the process by any means other than a request through USCIS be wary.

This leaves a unique group which has a few very short transit times and they involve Haitians.

Ashley & Merzie's a1 was sent in on 3/22/13 and the a2 received a few days ago on 3/28, a transit time of six days!

Angie and Erica (daviseri) has a transit time of about 20 days.

Based upon their comments it appears that neither requested that their case be expedited.

But these two are within a larger group which involve Haitians and one sees transit times of ~220 days; ~206 days and ~185 days for three others.

So I'd say "you have a chance" excepting that since a month has passed I'd guess that you're in the 185-206 range. When you fill in your timeline it will tell you an estimate date as VJ takes data and updates your timeline when others update theirs to adjust for faster or slower transit times.

I'm guessing that it's a carry-over of the Haitian earthquake episode when the VSC expedited lots of Haitian applications. But clearly it's erratic.

I hope this helps.
