my p.d. is feb 5th with the msc number, going to the nbc.. and have not been able to see the status online as it is not found in the system. on top of that they spelled my wife's first name totally incorrectly. after speaking with a tier two officer this week and starting a service request to fix her name, i was told that my petition was forwarded to a field office close to my house on march 13. i have made an infopass appointment to check the status. i am sure i will be told nothing happening yet and that it is within the processing times blah blah blah.. but i am really going to see if it is true that my file is there and hopefully if someone finds it and picks it up from the other thousands of petitions, that maybe, just maybe it will move out of a box and onto someone's desk.. but like the other's said, no i have not seen any feb filers approved yet

If you do some searching you'll find there is a Feb I-130 filers thread in the case filing and progress reports sub forum. There is a also a cool feature called timelines and you can search them. Use "Igors List" and you can find everyone who filed in Feb with you and see who has received their NOA2. Most likely those people had an expedite or both spouses lived abroad.

Play around and get used to the site. It has a wealth of information! :)

I believe that those were dcf's

No, they weren't DCFs, but they were filers from abroad. Regardless, they have to go through the same process as the rest of the IR-1/CR-1 filers. DCF is a difference process and has a different sub-forum.

Hi!

I'm also a Feb filer got the NOA1 dated feb 11th ... a few feb filers have been approved .. most of them were overseas filers but I believe there are 2 couples with the USC living in the US that have been approved (NOA1 dates of 4th and 12th feb I think - but not 100% sure). I also think there are a few Jan filers that have already been approved ... as others have said there this a Feb filers thread and Igors list is very useful :).

Nope. Sit back and get ready for a wait of several months, unfortunately. It will probably continue to say "initial review" for another 4 - 6 months, at least, unless you get lucky with an early approval. The norm has been a 6 month wait, though.
