I came into this forum for only one reason and that was to find out what "extended review" was referring to. I am glad to say that I emailed the above email address and that suddenly the next day I was sent my approval. I was in the same boat and they received my case on Nov. 12, 2014 and it was approved on Oct. 23, 2015. It was less than 3 weeks from being a year. I want to say thank you to the person that posted the email address and say thank you. To the person that was saying you shouldn't email as it may cause a delay, as long as you're nice in the email and don't say anything nasty, demeaning or derogatory to them or about someone else, they shouldn't hold it against you. It's hard enough being away from the one you love for such an extended period of time and anyone that has spent a week or month away from their significant other will have an understanding. My suggestion is to send in to the email and explain that you're confused and unsure of where you are in the process....especially if you are way out of the time frame as I was.

Again, thank you to the person that put the email to the associate director in here as I really believe that was the only reason I received the approval when I did.
