Even if we take your facts at face value, in a state of 19 million people, and a little more than half are women, that is around a one percent of the female population, which is probably close to the total population of female gun nutters in Florida.

So then Wyoming has a lower crime rate than Vermont because they have less people than Verm...oops! No that is not true. Wonder why?

Vermont has a lower RATE (that's per 100,000 population Marvin) Vermots low population actually would work against it in crime RATES. The fact is that gun violence has almost no affect on people in Vermont and I asked you why.

However, I will point out that your answer indicates that GUNS are not the reason for crime which I will agree with and that gun LAWS are stupid, which I will agree with.

The reason Florida has a high crime rate is that not enough people are licensed to carry firearms. In Vermont, a state of a little over 600,000 people, ALL of the women over age 18 are allowed to carry concealed firearms as well as ALL men over age 18.

The crime rate is far lower than Florida.

The answer is to eliminate concealed handgun permits and allow anyone to carry concealed handguns which increases the chances that a criminal will be killed if he attempts to harm anyone. This has the effect of strongly discouraging crime.

We should probably keep a few regional states with strict gun laws for criminals to live in. California would be a good one. We use New York for that. Demographically identical Upstate New York region has far higher crime than Vermont because the good people are disarmed.

We would HATE that here in Vermont. We LOVE a calm peaceful state where everyone is armed and no one gets shot.

Looking at Chicago it seems the break down of organized gangs is a lead cause. I haven't posted in this thread for a while as I reading more in to it. Apparently there was a more structured gang territory 10 years ago but since the groups have fractured.

Basically, Chicago is like 16th century Japan and until a few more powerful gangs come out on top and crush the smaller ones there will be lots of casualties.

What I can't get over is, I have never promoted rap music or violence of any kind, yet you use this dribble to prove your argument. It is simple: People who listen to rap music who also live in communities that are intolerant of wanton violence do not commit wanton violence at the same rate as people who live in communities that are tolerant of wanton violence.

I have to admit that on my Workout MP3 I have several songs by TUPAC, I love Dear Momma . Ice Cube why we thug is also one of my Favs. Can't tell you how much I have sweated to Snoop Dog and Dr, Dre Ain't nothing but a G thing. They have the beat for working out.
