My wife and I have a green card interview soon and we need to prove that our marriage is bona fide. We have a long history of text messages. We can print them all out and show them to the immigration officer. But how do to certify the text messages? Or we don't have to certify them? Is just printing them out and showing them as they are, okay? I see in the letter it says every copy of anything has to be certified. Please help!

My wife and I are using our text message history for the marriage based green card immigration interview to prove that our marriage is bona fide. We have other evidence as well, this is just a part of it. What we'd like to know is whether we have to get our text message conversation history certified, which we printed out already? We are asking because the letter from USCIS says all copies of the documents we are submitting must be certified. Thanks for your help!

duplicate posts have been merged and moved from the Immigration News forum to the AOS from a work, student and visitor visa forum as the OP is adjusting from an F-1 and the discussion is more appropriately addressed in this forum.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

No, there is no certification for text messages. Just make sure they have the phone numbers the messages are from.

Anonymous Guy and Guyette - please reread the bit about certified copies, I think you've missed something vital.
