Hi,

I am an international student recently graduated from college. I am currently on an F1 Visa, as well as an OPT work permit valid until February 2014. I am currently starting a tech company, launching in a couple of weeks. I would like to know what visas would work for me on the longer term, past next year. I have heard of the H1-B and the O1 visa options.

My other co-founder is a green card holder, if he may help my situation in any way.

Thanks.

There are many different visa. From the little you have said I would have thought an E2.

How much money are you investing in the company? Will any Americans work there?

I actually looked into the E2 Visa. I don't believe it would be right for me, because it forces the company to take the nationality of my home country, but I could be wrong. Our company is expecting to raise 250k to 300k over the next month or so. We currently have no Americans employed. It is just me and another person, who is a green card holder.

I think you have misunderstood the E2.

Have you spoke with an immigration lawyer.
