I don't follow Alabama at all. I just remember that the schools there are near the bottom of the list. We had the Big Dig that started with an estimate of $2.8 billion and finished with a cost of over $14.5 billion. And tunnels that leak and cement ceiling panels falling and killing someone. Following the logic prevalent here at VJ, the woman killed was an illegal immigrant which adds great importance to the issue.

I remember that in fact they have many documentaries on it, was anyone found guilty of corruption or was the project just way more complicated than they antisapated?

The place is still bankrupt and when the mayor tries to get a major event in the city which would be a great help, the Council plays race politics.

Here is another 5 black serial killers for you. I personally could care less what color the serial killers are. I personally think that all serial killers should be put down like rabid dogs. You can play the race card with someone else, I have lived in Georgia most of my life and have seen it played in every conceivable way by people far more experienced than you. My post was never pointed at you. Personally I hate even calling racism, it makes you look like you can't stand on your own two feet. But when black people are constantly painted in a bad light( when was the last time anyone made a thread about black people in a positive light) then one has to ask the question, why? Why is every single crime somehow related to blacks when we weren't even in the conversation. Every single gun crime is let's look at the black community. Why do some people only come here and bash blacks, while practically invisible when there is something else going on? You don't know me, so don't tell me who has more experience, I've grown up in one of the most dangerous cities in the US. And I don't know it all, never claimed I did, but I been reasonable even when those who I am arguing with isn't.

I never actually mentioned drugs or father figures. I think it is much deeper in that the traditional culture with desregard for the lives of others has been carried from the home countries and that it is this fundamental culture and disregard for others and for human life that is the root problem of the black community today. It is, after all, a 500 year problem isnt it Marvin? Since white people believed the world was flat and long, long before white discoverers stepped foot on the shores of Africa.

A drive-by is a random shooting at random people. A bus stop shooting spree is a random shooting at random people. A school shooting is a random shooting at random people. There are 5 times as many white people as black people. There are 2 times as many serial killers among black people as there are among white people. Even though there are more white serial killers than black serial killers, there is a higher percentage of serial killers among the black community than the white community. That is a fact and that statistic can be added to all the other achievements within the black community (murderers, rapists, thieves, name it). It does not take a racist to see this, all it takes is the ability to read, add, subtract, and divide. The numbers stand for themselves and the numbers deserve to be highlighted.

There was a lot of court action and some convictions. Fraud- over billing, false statements, substandard concrete, improper installation of ceiling panels, etc. It was a very complex project and poorly managed in some areas. A few big wigs lost there jobs, but I don't recall if anyone did jail time.
