yes , what makes me feel bad , is to know after 17 days waiting from my NOA2 day that NVC thez still have no visa petition yet , i and my husband we knew we could wait more to have the case number , But we did not have the slightest idea that the case is still in USCIS after all this time

plus my husband is against calling NVC or USCIS he said in the Approval Notice thez mentioned that we should allow a minimum of 30 days for department of state processing before contacting them and this is excatly what we have to do

He has to call the USCIS as the petitioner but you, as the beneficiary, are free to call the NVC (it's not a free number though.) So do what you want. :)

Don't worry...after I read your post, I decided to call NVC myself to check because I am still waiting too. I call when I remember because of my work schedule. I had read someone with a March 12 date NOA2 and they got their case number already. So I pose that question to the rep when I talked to the NVC customer service. I asked her "why someone with a later approval date (March 12) got their case number faster than mine (March 8). That rep said it doesn't work that way. Every service center is different and it takes time for them to mail it to NVC. So I just took her word for it. As we already know there is no rhyme or reason to who or why which petition gets approved first.

Just today the rep gave me a positive answer and told me that my file has JUST ARRIVED in their building. So it is there! Yippee!! So I know yours will be there any day now. The customer service rep reminded me to give them another "TWO TO FOUR WEEKS TO INPUT INTO THEIR SYSTEM".

Ok, I'll just call back on Monday.

Be patient and everything will be fine! Inshallah :)

I strongly suggest you get yer USCitizen spouse to email into USCIS,

at

ncsc-customerconnect@uscis.dhs.gov

give the USCIS receipt #, bio data on the two of you (Names and DOB)

then ask when the casefile left the local office.

Be prepared to wait about 10 days.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ah thank you for the nice suggestion

when we got the approval notice at my husband house in March 18th , while thez mentioned thez have sent the original visa petition to NVC we thought our case left in the same day when we got approved in 13th March, and we will get the case after 2 weeks , we are prapred to wait nothing more to do
