my question is :

i have not yet called NVC

Can i just Email NVC ( NVCinquiry@state.gov ) to ask for my case number ?

Suggestion is start calling a week after NOA2. Good luck!

Check my timeline we had NOA 2 last March 18, we are working on IV Bill now and DS230. Call them, they will send you a mail with forms. Start working on your affidavit of support.

ohhhh guys

we just called them now thez said thez have not yet received our case from Uscis ?

what we should do now ?

Call USCIS and ask if the case has been sent out. If your case was process at a field office, it's quite possible it will get sent out in the monthly stack of approved I-130s, in which case you could be waiting another few weeks just for NVC to receive it.

UScis thez sent us the approval notice ( hard copy) in March 13 telling us that thez sent the original visa application to NVC , later we called Uscis asking them about our case status ( still in initial review) with this informations :we mailed you a notice that we certified our approval of this case and sent it to the appropriate appellate body for review. They will notify you directly when they make a final decision thez said if we received the approval notice we d'ont have to worry , i'm wondering why NVC thez still have no visa application yet ??????????? is that true ??

we should call now USCIS or NVC ??

THANKs for your help

Call USCIS, ask for a Tier 2 rep, and ask exactly what date they shipped your case to NVC.

It's taking about a month for the NVC to get the cases and assign numbers. I tried calling everyday but ended up calling every couple. I think I've gone through fairly fast *knock on wood* since I've received the numbers.

but i wonder why almost all member's here thez got the case number just few days after the NOA2, some of them 8 days from NOA2 or 12 / 15/20/22/24 days i have not seen months and NVC receive their cases from USCIS in about 5 to 8 days

we have not called NVC before, today (17 days from NOA2) is the first day , i think thez just like to receive too many crazy calls for 1 case then thez give the case number

i was thinking to Email them today , but i'm not sure ,

the fact to wait 30 days and if we hear nothing from NVC then we can contact them i think is an expressing ( wording) we find in every approval notice

By the way im the beneficiary

everything depends on how fast the local office got the casefile into NVC.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

It really depends on the local office and the NBC.

If you look at my timeline under my signature you can see that it took 2 weeks for the file to get to the NVC, then another 2 weeks to get my case numbers. I see a lot of similar timelines in the NVC march 2013 filers thread. But it could happen faster and it could happen slower. I suggest waiting 1-2 weeks after NOA2 to see if they have your file. Then another week for them to get the numbers, call every day or every other day to find until you get them. A paid status should show up from 2-7 days according to the NVC and it can take up to 2 weeks for them to review the DS-3032.
