Tourist visa approved today, my friends, APPROVED!!! The CO was going to deny it first, but I asked her kindly to let me present my arguments and she listened. And she approved my visa!!! I just couldn't be happier right now, this means I am going to be with my husband in two weeks :dance::dance::dance:

October 26, 2012: Picked up visa from DHL (delay caused by Sandy)
December 15, 2012: POE Atlanta....................became USC July 2016!!!!

Mothers' Journey (My sister is the petitioner)

September 10, 2013: Sent I-130 (UPS next day service)

September 12, 2013: Received text to confirm delivery

September 16, 2013: Received NOA 1

March 22, 2014: Received NOA 2

April 8, 2014: File Received by NVC

May 26, 2015: Interview (approved)..........now LPR (delays caused by 2 RFE)

Hello--

Just curious what were you arguments?. Also why did you think she was going to deny, do you remember the exact conversation? If yes please post. I am going to have my wife do the same thing. We didn't even have honey moon yet and I had to come back due work. Thanks again

Hey if u r still there can u please tell what exactly u said to them that made u approve them? I have a very genuine reason to visit the states I have an important exam coming up but the problem is I don't have a job here so I don't know how to show ties to my country! Thanks!

Congratulations on your B2 Visa approved

Question:

My parents from USA applied i-130 in 2010 on my behalf and it is currently pending. I am from Vietnam and looking to apply for B1 or B2 for me or F1 visa for my son this summer of 2016.

I know that a visa might be rejected due to i-130 pending. BUT, If and if my B1, B2 or F1 gets approved, will that hurts or destroys my chance to get i-130 approved?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
