How do you bring your wife over for a limited time?

I am going to have reconstructive surgery on my hand in a couple of months. I will be unable to use the hand for two months while it heals. Since I will not be able to work I thought I would go to China for my recovery. But I got to thinking that it would be more economical to bring my wife here to care for me and it would be one more piece of evidence for a bonafide marriage.

There used to be an I-656 that was a visa application for a matter like this I think but I don't see it at USCIS.

My wife cannot qualify for a vacation visa on her own but can I do it for her and put up collateral, if you will, for a 90 day visa? If yes, what do I do and why kind of collateral would I need?

She is willing to come and take care of me. She doesn't have a job right now.

ok - so not filed the I-130 yet. gotcha.

I don't know of a quick way to get her here.

any visa for seasonal work is looked at, so if a spouse is the sponser they'll learn of it quickly.

I had some hope you filed in December or January, as you might have some news on the I-130 approval by now, as MSC approvals (most of them) have been faster than the average.

I'm hoping others will chime in, though.
