K-1 visa issued in Pakistan but never received

hi everyone,

I am new to visa journey but i heard that it is a great site where all my questions acan be answered. I applied for a fiancee from US. he lives in pakistan. His interview was on April 12,2012. It is going to a year in the next month since he had his interview. Everything went fine in his interview. Interew person just gave his a blue slip and told him that everything is fine but he has to wait because of AP (as usual) Couple of days ago...i found the website CEAC...i checked his case status and the last time it was updated was nov 20,2012. however the status is ISSUED. it says that "your visa has been printed. depending on local procedures at the location where you interviewd, your visa will be mailed or available for pick up soon. if there arefurther questions,or if we need to update contact information, you will be contacted." i am confused becaue it has been approves since nov 20,12 but still they have not contact me (the petitnor) or my fiancee. we check the courier service for the embassy, they said they dont have anything. we tried calling embassy but the number that i have, on that number there is only recording on it. I need answers but i can't ask becasue they are not talking. Also i have sent an inquiry to Islamabad embassy and they have not yet responded to my message..its been a week. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO. can anybody provide me a number for islamad embassy to talk to someone ther.please

Salaam, have you tried to contact the DOS and see what they said? I'm surprised that it's been in AP for so long and you just checked the website? even if you didnt have it...you should have inquired with the embassy's online inquiry form. Have you done this already? if not you should do that and ask them what is going on. I die each day that we are in AP. it bothers me to be apart from my fiance right now. I pray to Allah that all of our legitimate cases are approved and out of AP soon. Allah knows best and in sha Allah will help us all.

You should # 1 pray to Allah and then secondly contact the embassy visa the online inquiry form. Then also call DOS and inform them you havent recieved it.

yup, call the DoS Hotline (# in my profile)

and check for casefile status.

There's also an email address for Islamabad IV - email them when they are open (noting the time zone difference) , giving the Consular Casefile #, and ask what happened to the visa packet. You might need to email once a day till you get a response.

Check also the validity of his medical examination. It varies depending on the country. He may have to re-do it and pay another medical fee.

THANK YOU for responding...as i said i have already emailed them but haven't heard back from them. what do you tguys think the reason is behind not getting the visa delivered till now. i mean it is approved but it is delivered yet..i am very confuse and i am upset because we have waited for so long and we have plans..we want to get marry soon...i pray to allah that may god do what is best for us. i was looking for a number for islamabad embassy so i can talk to them myself..does anyonw have any suggestion or a number for me to call?

The only way to contact the embassy is through their IV Inquiry form online on the embassy's website. You also should contact D.O.S thats the only people you can call. Islamabad embassy is usually good about replying to the online inquiries sent in. Make sure you are checking your spam folder, also make sure you are putting all relevant info in there. If still you recieve no response contact your state senator's office and give them the times and dates also try to screen shot the inquiry you send via the electronic form and give it to the senator's office to make your case. in sha Allah you will hear back. double check spam and trash to ensure you didnt delete it by mistake or maybe their response went into your spam folder.

Also try checking your fiance's email...maybe they are sending the response directly to him. They did that with my fiance and I. Any responses were sent to him, even thought i was the one initiating the inquiry.

I am very dissapointed because i called Dos hotline and they told me that my fiancee's case is still in AP check even though it has been a year since he had his interview but still he is in AP check. She told me that CEAC website gave me wrong information. why do they have suck sites..especially on islamabad embassy website. I got that site from Islamabad embassy's website to check case status...i am very upset because me and my fiancee have future plans and ut is ruining it all...i mean this is ridiculous...its been a year and still it is in AP check. Why do good people have to suffer and the bad ones get their way how but the innocent ones have to get through the tough time....ITS JUST NOT FAIR. and i tried cotacting my cobgressman but he wont do anything, he only check the status of the case and said that we have to wait...I am just very upset and disspointed!!!!

I was wondering if hiring a immigration lawyer will help? if that helps then i will hire a lawyer here in US to expedite the case or at lease have it updated? what do u thin is it a good idea?

very sad that you have been waiting since long.

I suggest you call DOS everyday, send emails... Call senator and congressman.. Dont take their words just do not let it go till you get it.

I know it is easier said than done, but have faith!!! It is a long process, but have faith! Remember, there's a reason for everything, we just don't see it! All the best!

I doubt a lawyer can do much- keep contacting DOS, and make sure your senator/ Congress person looks into it.
