I think that some (so called) men in fact are truly ignorant of what makes up a man, and have issue understanding that a man doesn't judge his masculinity based upon how many females they can impregnate without concern for the consequences of their actions. They're just "dorks" "dipsheets" and morons.. IMHO of course.

did you not read what i said? all of the mothers work full time. all the mothers except my friend have gone on to other relationships. some have married. some have had more children. one was a surrogate and also has two more children from her new marraige. why in the world would you want tubal ligations for fully capable functioning adults?

i don't go around asking people if they're on foodstamps. i only know the answer regarding my friend. she receives foodstamps and medicare or caid whichever. she has always worked full time, she pays for her own insurance. and she had a tubal - because she wanted one - after her fourth child. the father is still completely capable of having as many more children as he wants.

I believe both the poverty rate, and those eligible for food stamps, are arbitrary numbers set by HHS and USDA, respectively.

As a man, I have my own set of values and beliefs. I'm not concerned about what anybody may say or think nor do I look to others (as is done a lot on VJ) to validate what I say or do. I understand that a lot of people including and especially those with low self esteem would prefer not to engage in a conversation with me because it would probably result in them having to validate their position with factual information rather then just spewing ignorance.

This was my line of thought....

Has the federal government decided that it will accommodate giving assistance to the lowest-income 15% of the population, no matter how much real incomes rise or fall, and has it set the threshold of what is considered the "poverty level" accordingly ?
