To a certain extent, it is. Let me explain why. The biggest problem with AA is that everyone thinks you can just be a certain color and walk right in the door. A large majority of people have that thought process, but here's what you have to consider. How far would someone in a professional field make it if they weren't good at what they do? AA doesn't give you a pass on being qualified. I guess I see it as if you have two folks, one is white and qualified, and one is asian and qualified, and you have to make a quota, you pick the asian. Now does that make it right? No, but since hiring outside of race is such a problem here it was a solution they came with.

You can't wing it in a major university coming in off of AA, they drop out if they can't hack it. It might get you through the door, but you have to work you butt off to stay in the game or you will wash out. I feel sorry for anyone who was not admitted or hired for someone of a different race and that person didn't hack it.

I know several very competent Doctors who, will tell you straight up that AA got several people thru Medical school that would otherwise have been gone in the first 6 months.

Here is a pic of my sons and their mother. I spent 10 years married to her. I don't fear any race, nor do I have any hatred against any of them. But if you constantly want to bring my people up in a bad light, and if we can talk about like adults and be cordial I have no problem with it.

No I have never dated a Black girl. I tend to get along very well with Black girls, and I think it is because I am very matter of fact and upfront.

I did work with one black Girl from West Memphis Ark. I thought about it for about 2 minutes.

To be honest, when I was a kid in school in the 70's I thought that era was in the history books then.

Who knew, it lives on and grows.

In fact I would say race in more acute now than is was then. .... and I expect it will continue to be a serious factor of division in this country.

And as demographics start to change a who new set of problem could emerge.

Interestingly on individual levels people don't have all that much conflict, but on the group level and the political level,.... it is only growing.

In my opinion those girls killed it. I remember when there was an uproar about this and they had to split first place with another soro, BS. Those girls beat the sleeves off everyone in there, but people were hating on them because they were white.

I know blacks still have a hard time in certain areas. I manage many in the lower socio-ecomic rung. I love them like brothers but many time they are there own worse enemy, other times... My boss basically pushes this black guy on us. He is married to a white woman who does their nails etc. She calls me up to tell me she is giving him extra vacation right off the bat. I explain I think this is a bad idea becuse we have never done that before in the history of our company with hourly people.

Her reply-- Well maybe he will be a good influence because he is not a ghetto black like the rest of your employees. I swear before god if I thought I had a prayer and not lose a very good job I would drag her racist sexist ####### before the EOCC>. Then she proceeds to blow our top pay out of the water and gives him a big fat raise after a few short months, even though we told her he was a marginal employee. Right now he is suspened for screwing up.

Same boss tells me after a woman blows up at me for no reason and she backs her and embarasses me in front of my peers. I call her own it one on one. She tells me....I have to defend her becuse she is a woman and I am a sexist.. All you men have made me that way ...
