I have a new dog, did not need a background check or anything.

Weird.

For ten horrific minutes the Giffords dog latched on to a baby seal and would not release even after he had killed it. Thank God it wasn't another child.... is it time to regulate "Assault dogs"?

I had to pass a background check and they checked references when I went to adopt my pets. True story.

Weird

Presumably paw prints for the dog.

No fingerprints, but let me tell you ... it took me longer to adopt a pet than it would have taken to buy a gun.

this looks like the best one. If a person is attacked then mandatory 10 year prison sentence for the owner.My sister had dobermans and their homeowners insurance declined to renew. Had to go on a state insurance policy = $$$$$$$.

Same sort of deal with trampolines.

Back to dogs, yes it took a long time to adopt, but I need to get my fingerprints done again for a CC permit.

Not sure how you can do a background check without fingerprints. well a full one.

The funny thing is they have gone to a scanner which takes much longer than the ink method and it is about a month out to get them taken.
