Yes i think i am confused here. How would i have done the DFC? Would i have got married in the U.S. 1st?

The trouble with DCF (it has crossed my mind too as it takes the dreaded USCIS out if the equation) is that your fiancé would need to be a lawful resident in the UK, which he wouldn't be if he just entered as a tourist or on a tourist visa, so it wouldn't work...

I think I just got totally confused. I thought the USC was a woman who gave birth in the UK because the USC was being referred to as "fiancee" which is the term for a female. I thought the USC was resident in the UK at some point. Frankly, the whole thing is rather confusing.

lol i did say he was in the U.S and i was only refering to the word fiancee as my other half who i plan to marry. my fiancee as being a he not a she. Like i said in the previous post:

"So it made sense for us to go for the U.S. fiancee visa, as my fiancee has a good job over there and has also finished his degree." So this would mean i am female, and the beneficiary in the U.K.

I feel your pain as we are all going through the same thing.. I called USCIS yesterday and they advised that they will reopen tomorrow. am a sept 6 filler and am soo soo disapointed -- lets hope and pray... but this is soo soo painful .. I keep crying about it every day myself and i was soo chocked when i heard CSC was closed ... it seems like we are in the village ... why do they have to take 2 days to fix the issue.

am really disappointed at how slowly things are moving. we filed on July 25 2012.got NOA1.

Does anyone know when the last time they updated the July 18 date? I am wondering if they have moved past that date and just have not updated the site.

That was in the update dated March 22.

how do we know what,s going on,in California Service Centre?

I felt that progress had been made recently as the backlog for I130 visa had moved up from mid year 2010 to Sept.2011..

Is it possible to actually call up the center?

Actually they updated the website on March 22, but the information is only current as of January 31. The information on the website is only current through January 31. The April update will bring it current through February and the May update will get it current through March. Basically if you want to know where they are today, you'll have to wait til May before it's published on the website. Otherwise you can just watch Igor's list on here and extrapolate information from there.

That is where the confusion came in.

either way, we are not elegible for the DCF route, as in our case the U.S. citizen has not resided in the U.K. for 60 days and doesnt have authorization to do so. When the U.S. citizen resides in the U.S., you have to go through the process at the California Service Center (unfortunately in our case :`( Had we the chance to do the DCF, i think we would have totally gone for it. The wait at the CSC is a long time. Probably going to be a 10 month wait to hear about an approval. Would be nice if we could have just dealt with it at the London Embassy from day 1. I would have thought it would have been easier to do clearance checks on me from there.

Hi all those with NOA-1's starting in August. I have been calling for the last 4 months to CSC. First call back in Dec. right after Xmas, I was told they were working on July 16th. Ours NOA-1 was July 19th. Now 4 months later they tell me they are working on JULY 18th. All I can do is sit here, and say over and over again WTH :help:

Now I look on and see those that had petitions go to VSC, They are married, working green card, and living the American Dream.

I want to see my lovely Nadia, miss her so very much, but what do I do. I wanted to get visa to Belarus to see her, but also wanted mult 90 day visit, open for a year. Have to be married for that type. All we can get is a 90 day, and must give dates to be used.

Question, Can we get married mid-stream in this K-1 129f process? We want to visit Belarus and marry, Would we still be able to get married here after approval?
