How to Prepare the photos for the k1 visa interview

Hi guys!

im on the process of preparing our necessary forms for the petition. now as this is being prepared i looked forward to preparing the photos that i will be showing to the us embassy for my interview. is it fine to have all photos in a scrap book making it as thick as 2 inches book? im worried they might refuse to take it because its so big/thick. Do you have the best advice on how to prepare the photos to show proof of bona fide on going relationship? please help... :)

also we are new to this... please add us up too. thank you!

My fiance just had her interview and had a big scrapbook full of our pictures and it was at least 2 inches thick. It was very flexible, something she thought about if they needed to put it through the window. If it is too big, I have heard that they will just ask you to open it up and show them a few pictures. I wouldn't worry about it, as long as you have it, you should be ok. They did not even ask to look at my fiance's photo scrapbook. Good luck to you. :thumbs:

The slot on the windows isn't too big. You could always have some photos loose or in a very thin and flexible photo album. I don't know about the windows in the Philippines, but the ones at our interview had a dip, so a stiff book would be hard to put through.

For our K-1 PETITION I created 3 pages of photos with captions and dates under them on Microsoft Word and printed them on a good printer. USCIS accepted it without issue.

Once you get to the embassy interview than you can bring the big photo albums. It appears the average evidence/support brought to an interview is 10+ pounds.

K1 Visa Timeline:

03/21/2012 Met in person

03/23/2012 Engaged

04/09/2012 I-129F mailed

04/13/2012 I-129F Received at TSC, forwarded to VSC

04/13/2012 NOA1 Date

04/13/2012 Check Cashed

04/19/2012 Received NOA1 letter

10/18/2012 NOA2-No RFE

10/23/2012 Received MNL case number from NVC

10/24/2012 Paid visa fee and scheduled interview

11/08/2012 Medical Completed

11/09/2012 CFO seminar and interview completed

11/19/2012 Interview USEM- VISA APPROVED

11/26/2012 Passport (and visa) in transit from post

11/27/2012 Visa Packet delivered/Air booked-business class all the way!!

12/05/2012 flew to Manila-CFO sticker-USA Bound

12/06/2012 Arrived USA-POE Washington DC!!!!!!!!!

I would not worry so much about photos as long as you have other evidence of bonafide relationship (chat, call, email logs, travel receipt etc..) When my fiance went for interview last year she only took 4 photos that were not in my initial 129F application, they only asked to see one, they asked her to show her favorite one and why is it her favorite photo. The other items (chat logs, emails, cards) they did not even ask for.
