That's not what I said.

I'm asking why it would be relevant in this story, but not relevant in others.

Two people commit unthinkable crimes and we only question the financial situation and family life of one of them? Why?

We have questions way more that that.. We also pointed out the rap music thing.

Yes, we know. There are a very select delusional few that believe rap music kills. And video games! Don't forget video games.

I agree with you there. There should be requirements tied to receiving welfare. Either looking for work, or job training, or whatever. There should be a limit on lifetime benefits. Simply giving people money for doing nothing except having more and more children, just breeds more poverty.

You bought an ipad? You're really not helping your case.

I have an I-pad. As well as a New windows 8 touch screen laptop.. I have an I-pad.. Wanna know why... Cause my wife wanted one and it makes her happy. That is all the reson I needed.

My husband bought me an iPad for my birthday last year. Love that thing.

I refuse to break down and buy that demonic device! It's hard trying to work on a PC when you are addicted to a Macbook

My husband broke my Macbook.

Which explains the iPad gift.

PEOPLE ARE CARELESS. THAT IS ALL. :ot2:

Right, I also find it interesting that folks tend to hone in certain factors when race is involved. If the killer is a non minority, the assumption is always mental illness. If the killer is black, rap music, welfare and no father figures are to blame. Maybe folks are just plain evil.

bah - that's not a feeling either.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

No more than people "Choose" to be rich.

Some people are born rich. Some people are born poor. But you seem to think the ones born poor are simply still poor by choice rather than a lack of opportunity to change their situation.

You're making excuses for people.

Historically Blacks left everything and migrated to areas of work and opportunity.

The folks you say are doomed simply have to staY IN SCHOOL, from there

They can go in the military and get paid while in college, they can learn a trade some skills. They can take loans and go to a community college. Believe me a white kid can get enough loans where he doesn't even have to work, I am sure such things and perhaps more are available to minority kids in poverty.

He doesn't choose to be poor............. but he does choose to do or not do all the thing that ensure it.

And why does he so often do that?

Because he is poor to start with?

No many immigrants come here with much less and in time... move to middle class and beyond.

Unlike you I think things can change, we are just going about it all wrong.... and the number bear that out.

You're making excuses for people.

actually, you are.

why don't you give us some more reasons why you think we should not invest more time and money into our suffering communities?

what's your solution again?
