That's not what I said.

I'm asking why it would be relevant in this story, but not relevant in others.

Two people commit unthinkable crimes and we only question the financial situation and family life of one of them? Why?

I guess you would have to look at the crimes individually. In one case there was an obviously mental ill person simply killing people to kill them. In another case there was an alleged robbery taking place. In the first case there was no attempt at financial gain. In the second there was. So yes they are different in that regard. That's probably why people ask about the financial situation of the family. Not to mention the mother and aunt have now been arrested for lying to the police.

So if it comes out that in fact this is a situation where the parent is a single mother on welfare, would it be relevant?

if one or both of the mothers was in on the murder to make money, then of course. otherwise, no.

So then the upbringing and environment of these alleged baby killers should not be relevant. Good to know. Remember were talking about minors here.

Since you are new to America i will tell you that people who resort to crime, or who have kids that are thugs and completely waist the oxygen in the air have more times than not been involved in the welfare system. I hate to stereotype, and if someone disagrees with me then they are full of it, but when i turn on the news its black no income to low income people that are always committing the crimes. I know you know this because you know everything about everything Evylin.

You have to wonder about the motive of this crime. If they were set out to gain financially from this, they chose an odd victim. A woman walking a baby in a stroller? How much money would someone take with them on a walk around the block?

Not to mention the fact that the woman told them she had no money. They shot her and her child for this, not even stopping to see if she was indeed lying about the money or not.

Just seems like a really bizarre robbery attempt to me.

It fits the profile of a desperate drug addict. Anything for a fix.

relevant to what exactly? is someone going to swoop in and implement 'proper' upbringing and fix all ghettos to provide an appeasing environment for well rounded children to thrive? hell no. that's why the first comment was about the mother getting welfare. no one cares about leeches. or minor leeches.

When did you arrive in America? I hope you are an immigrant. If not, our education system has once again failed miserably.

I certainly don't remember anyone here demanding to know if the Aurora shooter had a father present in his life and whether or not they were on government benefits.

Funny that you mention mental health though. Only certain criminals get their mental health questioned. The rest just get called thugs.

But hey, I guess stereotypes exist for a reason so it's alright.

I don't see anyone here demanding anything. I do see the usual suspects eager to jump and point at the black community and what they consider to be patterns of inner city crime. Some of those patterns do exist, just as they do exist in white suburban crime. I never like to jump to conclusions, but a lot of the time one can usually figure out the generics of a crime based on when and where it took place, and who was involved.

Who said anything about "swooping in and fixing the welfare system" I'm simply stating that the fact that these 2 suspects were being raised in poverty on welfare by single mothers might have something to do with why this crime happened. I'm not making a blanket statement that ALL kids who's parents are on welfare are destined to become baby killers. I am simply wondering why some people refuse to look at the upbringing and family life of these alleged murderers.

You aren't. But there are others in this forum who froth at the mouth when something like this happens and they once again get to point at an underprivileged, father-less black kid. That's why their first reactions to stories like this aren't horror, or sadness, or confusion. They don't talk about the tragedy itself. It's like it proves a point of theirs and through someone else's sad story, they get to feel victorious.

I'm not Danno. I usually only froth at the mouth when I see Japanese animated porn, but that's another subject. All I'm saying is that the background of these alleged killers needs to be looked at. Not looking at it is irresponsible. And simply wondering if the upbringing of these alleged killers may have played a part is no way taking a swipe at their race.
