Vaccination records

Can anyone clear up a question for me please?

I have been trying (and struggling) to get a record of my vaccinations from my GP. They have them but they have to be typed up as they are currently on bits of paper and this is proving to be a difficult task for them.

I have a previous record from 2007 which is only missing tetanus jab that I have recently received in anticipation of my medical. So my question is if I attend the medical without a full vaccination record what will happen? Can I show my records from my GP here when I come to AOS in USA? Will they be accepted?

If I delay my medical by say a week will my potential interview date be put back?

I'd appreciate any thoughts you have.

(Just been told by my fiance to be more patient....perhaps he has a point!)

If the bits of paper look official, like have the doctor's name / location on it you can take as many pieces of paper you need to. If it's just a scratch pad note, then get them to use letterhead or office notepad to write up the shot that's not on your 2007 record. If they don't have that, then get them to write the doctor name or clinic name and address and sign the bottom....even the nurse could sign Mary Smith, Shot Nurse or Office manager....whatever her title is. Everything does not have to be on the same piece of paper. Does that help?

USCIS won't accept anything from your GP. You would have to find a designated Civil Surgeon and have him complete a new immunization form (I-693). It would be a huge hassle and possibly cost a lot. Many want to do your whole medical exam over for $$$. It's awful for many doing AOS, so get it all on your immunization form at Knightsbridge and you're set.

Probably because they will not even think about giving you an interview until the medical results are at the embassy.

It's hard to be patient especially when you get real close.

Thanks for all your help. That's really useful. I will make sure I've got the records in an official format before I book the medical.
