For what I know, a service request is for when you passed USCIS "processing time", so if you filled before that, I guess it won't do much... BUT, my lawyer did filled one for us AFTER we crossed the date and in 2 weeks we got our approval. So for us it did work.

This is a great waiting game especially with the DACA overload into the system.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Unbelievable. Has anyone tried making an appointment? I'm scared of wasting my time and just hearing what tier 1 and 2 tell me on the phone

I tried going to a local office, and they are basically the same as the tier 1 people. They don't know anything more than what we already know (they probably know even less), and they can't do anything either.

I received a somewhat similar letter from one of my senator's office about a week ago. The assistant that emailed me was very nice, and we've been in touch ever since. I just emailed her about the recent processing times update and how the CSC still has K-1 processing times at July 18, 2012.

Have they tried contacting on your behalf? Please keep me updated as I just filled out the documents they need to inquire for me. Goodness gracious, I really pray this does some thing. I'm running out of hope.

The assistant emailed me back today saying that she has sent an inquiry to the USCIS and that she would update me on what happens. I feel your pain for sure. At least the wait will make the reunion all that much sweeter

I also emailed my congressman and he did not reply. But senator Barbara boxer did, for which I'm praying will do something positive for my case. All I can say is, you get what you settle for, and I'm not willing to settle and wait longer than I was told to. They said 5 months, then 6, then 7, now 10. Unacceptable.

I applaud your spirit. I pray that your senator can get something done. My congressman hasn't replied either haha. But today I received an email from the other senator I tried to contact, and his office will start looking into my case too. Inshallah my two senators can work together to get something done. Maybe all this noise from us will speed up the USCIS.

Have you guys tried contacting any senators? Both of my senators have replied, but not my congressman (yet).

I mailed senator Barbara boxer the document she asked me to sign but she hasn't responded yet. I only sent it on Friday so I'm hoping its next on her list of things to do soon. I'm anticipating to know if my document was one of those that got flushed in the toilet
