How long can i stay away? I will be traveling again soon and Im still waiting for my paperwork to be approved.

Well, honestly, if you are denied while out of the country, you will most likely not be permitted to re-enter the US.

If you get an RFE while you're gone, how are you going to reply to it? Do you have someone checking the mail? What about if you get called for interview?

Personally I would not travel until approval unless I REALLY had to.

There's no guarantee you'll get an interview either way. If you have moved LEGALLY you need to change your address within 10 days of moving.

My husband chased me out of our home so im currently living with a friend of mine. I cant change my address because my friend will be moving to another state and we are not going to move together. I guess the only option i have is to go back to my husband's house.

No... if you're living somewhere temporarily, a PO Box might be a good idea while you settle somewhere.

So personally i would get a PO Box and list the address where you are with your friend, and then change it again when you settle into a place. OR at the very least, update your mailing address to a PO Box if you haven't already

Ok. Thanks for the advice. What will happen now that we haven't filed for divorce yet and my paperwork is pending?

Well if you are divorced before it's approved you need to tell USCIS and change it to a waiver filing.

If you're in the middle of the divorce you don't need to change it unless he tells USCIS he withdraws his support.

If you change it to a waiver filing then you need the decree. if you don't have the decree they'll RFE you for it. As long as you have all the evidence of relationship then you'll be fine with the waiver.

Change your address for now and if something else changes come back here and post. It will be okay :)
