hi everyone, my wife had her interview back in Feb 06, 2013. She came over as a K-1, then we got married and filed the paperwork. it has been 7 weeks since the interview, and we have not hear or see anything from USCIS. Is that normal? her case status online is still only show November 06 acceptance date. Please let us know what should we do? Thanks.

What did they tell you at the end of your interview? Did they say you were approved?

We had our interview about 1 week ago, and the man told us we were approved, but the website still hasn't updated for us either. Hoping it's just some delay. I've heard others indicating by the time they got home from the interview it said approved!

7 weeks sure seems like a long time. Like, if there were requesting more info or something, you'd think you would have received it by now.

But what did they tell you in the interview?

after the interview, they only tell us they will make the decision in 2 weeks or so. We did not get any RFE. They did not even send out the biometric apointment letter to my wife. They had to take the biometric stuffs at the same date of the interview. we have been contacting USCIS 1 800 number 3 times since. They keep told us to wait because Anchorage office is behind on processing time. I checked the processing time for I-485 applications on their website as of today is still 4 months to complete for I-485. There are other people in here that applied couple months after my wife and already have their green cards. we are totally confuse and really do not know what to do. we live in Fairbanks so InforPass too far to do. Maybe i should call back and request to talk to a immigration officer to find down what is going on. The last thing we want is they keep delay and force my wife to have a complete medical exam again.

yeah, we called again and got to an officer. he just told us to wait because Anchorage field office is over capacity for I-485. They are still holding on cases with the date of Oct 31, 2012. I guess it is different with processing officer at the Anchorage office. Other people in here already received their cards and they submitted after my wife. He will not be able to place a service request because of the date of processing there.

What the Interviewing Officer told you after the interview?

Last week I did my Interview (AOS - Married to US Citizen Spouse, overstayed with B2 Visa). It took us 7 hours of 2 sets of Interview in San Francisco, California last Wdnesday 5 June at 1030am to 12lunch then 1230pm to 530pm. It was realy a kind of sentencing too many question from our Marriage as it only took us to decide 1 month from we first meet Jan 25 to get marry. The Officer want to know why it took us early to decide specially I am a Divorce and overstayed individual.

After Interview there was no decision made. The interviewing Officer just told us only 3 things will happened deny, approve or myself will be facing court proceeding for possible deportation. I was too scared going back home. I keep praying for MIRACLES to happened cause all we spoken is under Oath and we've been Video Recorded like interrogation.

The following Day 6th of June I awaked with hopeless getting my laptap and opening the USCIS Case Status...God I was surprise it shows Case status: CARD/DOCUMENT PRODUCTION that was 10am at 12pm it goes backward to DECISION - telling that the Customer has been Registered a New Permanent Residence Status...have to wait 60 days or ADIT or which later a Welcome letter.

I look my I-130 from Initial Interview to Post Decision - Case Status: Approved

For those who have similar on my case...my only thing I can say is that familiarize the apartment/home where you are living together, back track atleast 1 week of all happenenings (including personal thing like having sex with your partner, eating where the place and so forth), know her or his family memebers, have enough evidence showing your a couple and the last thing Believe in God of his MIRACLES to happened.

Hi Alaska 101,

I'm from Alaska too and same scenario as yours. We flew to Anchorage last week for our interview. Our IO did not exactly say that we are approved but she discussed about green card and she'll only approve our interview after 48 hrs after the biometrics. After our interview they had taken my biometrics the same day also. It's been about 5 days already and we still don't have any updates on USCIS (still on acceptance stage).

AOS: I-485 sent: 9/6/2013; NOA1: 9/12/2013
