The man clearly suffers from a Euro-centrist view.

One need not single out Uganda, speculate for me if you would-

What percentage of people in the world see Homosexuality as a healthy, normal thing?

Among our peers in the developed world? A majority accepts that homosexuals exist and that they are humans that have a right to live in recognized, sanctioned relationships. The momentum for marriage equality is growing all across the developed world. It's a matter of not depriving homosexuals of one of the most fundamental rights a person has.

Your views on the issue are closer to those held broadly in Uganda than they are to the views broadly held in the developed part of the world. You can dispute that all you want but it remains a fact all the same.

- I have asked you before and I will again, show me in history the societies which placed gay relationships on the same level as normal one? Where are these great societies that we can learn from them?

Some people make history. Some people insist on merely repeating it.

-When you redefine what a marriage is, you soon find "others" too want to be included.... and under all your logic, they have every right.

-Allowing Interracial marriage did not "redefine" marriage it simply modified the regulations governing it... in the same way if a state were to change the age limit.

Divorce redefined marriage.

Interracial marriage redefined marriage as much as same sex marriage does. It simply modifies the regulations governing it.

What others, Danno? Are you gonna start talking about kids getting married and animals again?

The same arguments against interracial marriages are the arguments being made against homosexual marriages. You're going to look just as foolish as those protesters did.

The history is being made, Danno. Countries are legalizing it, and there is nothing horrible happening in them, either. Life is continuing on, as normal. Gay people getting married will have no impact on you, or me, or anyone other than the people who will FINALLY be able to earn the benefits from marriage that they deserve. Did you know there are 1,100 federal benefits to marriage? That's what these people are being denied. And why? Because people like you think it's gross? Not good enough. Sorry.

You and your doomsday "THESE COUNTRIES WILL BECOME EXTINCT" arguments are so far out of reality that they're hard to respond to. You have no reason to believe this. No historical data to base it on. You're just scared. Who made you so afraid? Your parents? God? Someone taught you this somewhere along the way.

EXACTLY! Homosexuality is nothing new in societies..... and so we repeat this same error.

I also encourage people to read a little Greek and Roman history in this regard and see what you find.

Americans do not repeat the mistakes of those silly Europeans. We do it better.

Forgive me for by-passing your other silly stuff... as I forgive you for not answering my main question.

Gay marriage will impact society starting in the schools.

Sure If if everyone believes "just like you" there is no impact but we know parents who object to this notion of SS relationships will be forced to deal with "lessons" their kids will be taught, starting at the earliest grades.

YOu have seen stories posted about Bakers being sued for not baking gay wedding cakes.

We have seen churches taken to court for not opening up their accommodations.

COuld go on but whats the point ... tomorrow you will pretend "it has no effect on others".

Gays are just 3 or 4% of society.... the risk is huge for satisfying such a minuscule number of people.

Yup - in the long run, having a 20K USD voucher for them to move makes more sense, monetarily.

No sensitivity training needed in the public schools.

No special training and budget for the police force to handle Gay on Gay hate crimes or infractions with minors of SS couples.

No special tax breaks for SS couples.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I don't believe in churches being forced to perform gay marriages.

Nor do I believe businesses should be punished for enforcing their beliefs - just don't be surprise if it loses you business.

I, personally, learned nothing about marriage in school. What classes did I miss in the "early grades" that went into details about married life? I learned that from my parents.

Incorrect on both accounts.

Divorce has a far more nefarious effect on children.

Divorce is legal in the US and yet many churches do not marry divorced individuals in agreement with the bible. Nobody ever sued a catholic church for not marrying divorced individuals.

So you are against Obama care and gun control because both limit options correct .

The jury is still out on Obamacare. Until all the regulations are written, we have no idea what Obamacare means. So far, it hasn't affected my lifestyle as yet.

Gun control is a good one to illustrate my latter point. You ability to carry any firearm in any manner anywhere you choose takes away my ability to go anywhere I want without the possibility two gun nutters are going to start standing ground against each other and I get caught in the crossfire.
