Meh. Anything that increases options is good. Anything that takes away options is bad. How that is evaluated is a valid topic for discussion.

So you are against Obama care and gun control because both limit options correct .

It is about marriage. It is about same sex couples being treated equally to heterosexual couples. And there is no reason to deny them that equality.

IF marriage were only about wedding photos and the warm feelings people have for each other.... you'd be right.

But the truth is, Marriage is the only institution which ties children to the two people who created them.

Marriage (which typically produce) children, is the foundation of society.... we tinker with it at our own peril.

Gays are just 3 or 4% of society.... the risk is huge for satisfying such a minuscule number of people.

Wrong on both accounts.

Children are naturally tied to their biological parents. No institution is needed not required. The law suffices for that.

Many couples can't have children, or choose not to, while others choose to adopt. They are also very much a part of the foundation of society.

This is one of the most ridiculous arguments I've ever seen you make.

If gays take up so little of our society as a whole, how would letting them get married be a "huge risk"? What would it be risking, exactly?

These couples deserve all the benefits from marriage that heterosexual couples currently receive. You talk so highly of the foundation of marriage, but you live in a country that mocks it on a daily basis. Marriages fail at an alarming rate. You can get married as many times as you want. You can marry someone you don't even know. You can marry for love, or you can marry for money, or you can marry for fame. Anything heterosexual couples want, they can get.

Homosexual couples simply want what's being denied to them and you're preaching about the foundation of marriage as if those couples are going to ruin it?

Marriage has nothing to do with children. Heterosexuals get married and don't/can't have children.

Your paranoia is clouding your judgment, Danno. Same sex marriages will have no impact on heterosexual marriages the same way interracial marriages had no impact on them.

You predict a so-called "social chaos" if these things were to happen, but as usual, your fears have no basis in reality.
