Yes it is fair.

For the same reason my neighbor MUST PAY TAXES for local schools, though he has noi kids. it promotes a common good.

If you look at stats between married aND UNMARRIED people, the numbers are startling in regards to community involvement, political involvement, the PTA.

For your shack-up marriage to be treated as a real marriage by the tax code removes incentives for people to get married.

Check the crime stats on areas with high levels of marriage and those without... the numbers are remarkable.

Public schools justify EVERYONE paying taxes and so does marriage.

Of Course !

No clue as to the 'why', but -

surely there's some study out there, somewhere, addressing this,

where the socio-economic benefits to the couple, the child, the county, the state and the feds is/are enumerated ???

Also, I think with this type of limitation, SS couple counts would increase.

Divorce has a far more nefarious effect on children.

Divorce is legal in the US and yet many churches do not marry divorced individuals in agreement with the bible. Nobody ever sued a catholic church for not marrying divorced individuals.

The USA has one of the HIGHEST rates of fertility in the Western world..... did you get that one of the HIGHEST.

The only reason ours has not matched Europe decline is because our immigrant population is doing such a good job.

Nealry every country you listed are far below replacement level, some countries, experts say "can not recover."

So Western Europe needs more immigration. That's been argued for decades now. And it will happen whether Western Europeans want it or not. It will happen because it must in order for these countries to continue functioning. Your point is not supporting your opposition to same sex marriage, it is an argument in support of the immigration reform that is sorely needed in Western Europe.

Unplanned stuff happens all the time. Hamas moving to Malaysia and declaring jihad on American males with two testicles is just as likely as it becoming illegal for opposite sex couples to adopt.

I don't believe in churches being forced to perform gay marriages.

Nor do I believe businesses should be punished for enforcing their beliefs - just don't be surprise if it loses you business.

I, personally, learned nothing about marriage in school. What classes did I miss in the "early grades" that went into details about married life? I learned that from my parents.

But we are not talking about your personal beliefs or reality, I mentioned what ISI going on.
