HI friends,

After getting 221g sheet on interview day on 16th December 2011 i had submitted all documents on 13th December 2012 and after that the case is on AP.I ts more then three months and the case status was updated every week but after 13 March 2013 the case status has not changed for both CR1 AND CR2 visa .If some body passed through same situation pls advise me.

just out of curiousity, why did it take an entire year for you to submit the documents they requested at the interview?

Hi,

The day i had attended interview The CONSULAR asked for custody document which i din't have so after that i had filed on 3rd January 2012 one case of Guardianship( cos the child is already living with me AND no body demanding the custody of my daughter)so as per law i was applicable to file for the Guardianship case)and the court took more then one year(got on 5th March 2013)to declare me Guardian of mu own daughter This case proceeded and finished as ex-party.

So this is the reason i submitted documents after a long time i was waiting for this document and when i saw that the case cannot be finish with in the required time limit(with in one year of 221g sheet)i had submitted rest all documents with a letter stating that a case of Guardianship is going on in the court so pls grant some more time as i will get i will submit in the embassy.I have sent that document through speed post to Embassy.After that both the cases are on AP FROM 16TH December 2012.

Until March 12, 2013, when my congressman contacted the consulate my case had not been updated since November 5, 2012. So I waited more than 4 months for an update and the only reason it was updated was because my congressman called.
