I think the number needed is higher now

There probably aren't enough people on VJ to make it

Also, there is surprisingly a large fraction of VJers who actually feel that DACA filers deserve their paperwork processed faster than K1 applicants.

Who ever feels that daca filers need preferential treatment after already being here for years illegally is not thinking straight. They can wait just like everyone else especially when everyone here doing things the legal way are being pushed to the side and forced to wait.

For those looking for the name of the director and address please see my post # 16 and # 28

I don't think that was the Director of the CSC, just the director of all of the service centers, so I'm not sure he'd be based at the CSC. I'm not sure, perhaps someone who knows more can correct me?

Also, this has the potential to cause some movement, I feel. If we do it right, we can definitely grab the attention of the CSC.

I say we go gasther in front of CSC one day with signs.

Let me know when and I will make arrangements to fly down and join. We need to get at least 100 people or so.

So if someones parents went around murdering people and stealing their property and kept a fund made up from all their stolen goods of the people they had killed, then gave proceeds of that fund to their children. Would you say the children are entitled to that fund just because they didn't kill anyone, so they didn't commit a crime their parents did and therefore they deserve the money? Immigration violations are a serious crime, just like murder.

If you are the by-product of crime you shouldn't be given any preferential treatment just because you didn't directly commit the crime, someone else committed the crime for you and was never punished for it.

Regardless of your stance on DACA, bringing the negativity into your plea will only harm your case. So, it is best not to be inflammatory when making your case. Just my 2 pennies.

Looking at the USCIS Leadership org chart, there does not appear to be a Director of CSC. The Associate director of Service Centers has resposibility for all service centers and is at a higher level. This guy should have intimate knowledge of the workings of the CSC. I would expect that his position would be responsible for managing work loads and overseeing the implementation of DACA at the CSC. I fully expect that he knows and had approved the slow down of CSC K1 petitions. I also fully expect that if he says it's time for the CSC k1 to get back to the 5 month processing time the staff at CSC will salute and say "yes sir"

I agree, but which address does he use? Should we just send them all to the CSC and hope they'll forward them on? Or should we try to find a specific address for him?

I think in the letter I wrote, and others, we should mention how they're not meeting their mission statement as detailed in this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/421184-uscis-mission-statement

taking out your frustrations on DACA filers here isn;t doing any good, they are not here by any fault of their own, they must meet strict requirements to file, and they have to pay fees just like everyone else. I understand everyone's frustrations, but I am getting tired of people taking everything out on a group of people who have called the US for many years, and they didn't cross the border on their own fruition, it was their parents who broke the law. Can you imagine how the DACA filers feel when they read a thread like this? I swear it's gang mentality sometimes.

I was told by a Tier 2 customer service manager to send the letter to the address at the bottom of my NOA1 hard copy. That's probably the best address we have. It will be up to the CSC to forward our corerespondance to him. Does anyone have a better idea?

Alright. That should be good enough. I'm sure if we flood them with those, they'll get his attention for us.

Okay. So the next step is probably trying to get a rough number of people who'll send letters. Then have them written out and ready to send so we can all send them around the same time?

May I suggest an alternative:

Instead of sending a petition to the President send the petition to the Director of the CSC. Despite what a number of people have said about the amount of care CSC has for the the K1 filers (most of which I think is true by the way) the Director is much more closer to making something happen. The Director was given a direct order by Janet Napolitano to implement DACA but I'm sure he/she wasn't told how to implement it. I'll bet sacrificing K1 filers wasn't even his (her) idea. Normally someone in that position would ask for proposals from their staff and approve. Another member of vj has provided IMO undisputable evidence that K1 filers have been singled out to bear the brunt of the DACA onslaught. The director knows what's going on and is far more closer to what's going on with the K1 filers than the President. All the Director has to do is 1. recognize that the K1 filers have suffered enough already and 2. shift the burden from the K1 filers to some of the other types of cases. He/She has power to do that. Now our numbers (supporting an appeal for MERCY)start to have more relavence.

Just my thoughts.

I found this in my searching. If you scroll down it shows a few email addresses. None for specific people that you would want to contact, but it shows their formatting at USCIS.

Dear Donald Neufeld, Associate Director, Service Center Operations Directorate

I, (insert name), the beneficiary, recently filed my I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance. I received an notice of receipt on the 21st February 2013.

I am writing to you to express my concern at the time frame of filing for I-129F applications. At the time of writing this, the current wait time for petitions seems to be around the 8-9 month mark, and it only seems to be getting longer. The point of the K1 visa is to reunite families quickly and efficiently, and this time frame is simply too long.

Hundreds of filers are still waiting to receive approvals, filers from all the way back in July of 2012. This is very disheartening to recent filers such as myself as the backlog of applications is huge, and only increasing until some kind of action is taken. I respectively ask you to look at the large amount of applications awaiting approval and consider what options there may be to help reunite us with our loved ones.

Being away from the one you love is unbearable, even for a few days or even weeks, let alone months. The way I-129F cases are being processed at the California Service Center, it's beginning to look like we might be separated from our loved ones for almost a year, or in some cases, even more. I sincerely hope and request that there is something that could be done for filers at the CSC to help ensure we're not away from our partners for an extended period.

I look forward to hearing your response.

Thank you.

2nd Draft. Anyone got anything else I should include in mine? I don't mind people using it as a rough guide for theirs either.

Also. Would it be considered bad form, or against any rules if I were to head to other threads and attempt to direct people into this one to get it the maximum attention it needs so we can send as many letters as possible?
