Ok, It's the big moment for us. We are about to make the submission. Triple checked everything. Signatures, dates, certified translations... One thing worries me, is that we have close to 207 pages in the packet. Is that normal? should we cut some away. For example we included a copy of the beneficiary's passport and birth certificate, in a section called "additional documents". We also have a section of full resolution receipts for purchases we've made during our vacation. And call logs, we do not use cell service much, but including 4 months worth of records with just a few highlights seems like an overkill. We did include our Skype call history by extracting all the calls and their duration form the main store. We are obviously new to this. So any knowledgeable advice is welcome. here is our list of contents form the cover letter:

- Payment in the amount of $ 340.00

- I-129F

- I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person

- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)

- Beneficiary letter, explaining the different styles of spelling her name

- G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)

- Copy of Naturalization certificate & US Passport (Petitioner)

- Letters certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)

- Judgment of Divorce (Petitioner)

- Proof of having met in person in the past two years (joint travel documents, photos of Petitioner & Beneficiary together)

- Proof of ongoing relationship

- Support letters from friends and family

- Full Resolution Receipts

- Additional Documents ( Beneficiary’s Proof of Identity)

Thanks!

It doesn't say how much you need but your skype calls? If that is multiple pages you might want to thin it out a bit.

Looks like you have your contents in order. For the evidence, the proof of meeting is most important at this stage. You "frontloaded" by including ongoing relationship evidence, and there is nothing wrong with that. 207 pages is a bit much, but my petition packet was around 175 pages or something like that. It isn't going to hurt anything. It might actually help as the CO will see everything you sent when the petition is approved and sent to them. Better to be safe than sorry. Having the required documents and being comfortable with what you are sending is the most important thing.

Honestly, 207 pages is overkill. More than 100 pages is overkill. My petition was 40 pages. There is a lot of stuff you dont need to include.

Beneficiary letter explaining styles of spelling her name--not needed

Copy of naturalization certificate OR copies of all pages of your passport--not both

Proof of ongoing relationship--suggest you condense it down to just a few pages...how many pages of proof do you have?

Support letters from friends and family--not needed

Full resolution receipts--if this is part of your proof of meeting, include it with that proof.

Additional documents (beneficiary's passport and birth certificate)--not needed

Although sending a wealth of information in your petition packet wont affect the outcome of your case, however the huge amount of paperwork could take longer to process.

The amount of paper work didn't stop our case from being approved in less than 6 months at a time when VSC was approving at 7-8 months! At the interview, we weren't asked for a shred of evidence. YMMV obviously. Who can say it is overkill by going on amount alone? Over 200? Maybe. Over 100? It happens all the time.

Over 100 if you are frontloading...and that is understandable. But if there is no need to frontload your petition it is not necessary to send your relationship's life story. As for our case, they also never asked for a shred of evidence.

You counted those 207 pages? :)

You don't need the foreign fiancee's ID/proof of ID. That comes later. You - as the US citizen - need to provide proof of you being a US citizen, otherwise you're not eligible to petition your fiancee. Then you need proof of being legally free to marry. Your divorce decree and your letter of intent will be your proof. And then you need to prove you met once(or more)within the last 2 years. Such as a passport stamp. If you use a passport stamp, you have to also include the copy of the biographic page in your US passport. To be honest, I'd suggest copying the whole darn thing because it serves 2 purposes; you've met within 2 years and you're a US citizen. Slap a few pictures in there and that should be plenty.

Your ongoing relationship isn't important right now however, hang onto it. Moreover, from the time you submit the petition until interview, gather your evidence so your fiancee can take it with her to interview.

What's the foreign fiancee's country?

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

Thank you all for providing your suggestions. I ended up mailing everything as originally discussed, however i organized everything in logical sections using paper clips, and included a cover sheet for each organizational unit. This way if they dont need something, it's easy for them to discard. The reason i wanted to provide extra proof is beaocuse i previously married a Russian citizen, but we were later divorced, and my fiance and I only meet 3 months ago, so i wanted to create an airtight submission that would not bounce back with requests for more info. here is the final order of things as they were shipped out.

- Payment in the amount of $ 340.00

- I-129F

- I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person

- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)

- Judgment of Divorce (Petitioner)

- Copy of Naturalization certificate & US Passport (Petitioner)

- Beneficiary letter, explaining the different styles of spelling her name

- G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)

- Letters certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)

- Proof of having met in person in the past two years (Initial communication, skype history, airline tickets, travel reservations, photos of Petitioner & Beneficiary together, receipts for gifts exchanged, full resolution receipts)

- Support letters from friends and family

- Proof of ongoing relationship

- Additional Documents ( Beneficiary’s Proof of Identity)
