I'm sure that the Iranians and the Koreans are aware of the fact that america can't be counted on to go the distance in any conflict so long as we have a a liberal press and liberal democrats around.

This is clearly projected by IRAN given their current dealings and policies.

So, how long's it been since 9/11? It didn't take america long to forget, did it?

Just because they 'urge' the President to do something doesn't mean he's gonna do it. I'd like to think he's not the kind of lame duck the media is painting him to be.

he is still the President and has powers to intervene in a crisis

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

If troop withdrawal is an act of cowardice, what do you call someone who could of served in the military during a war they supported but didn't?

Don't Democrats blame Bush for not listening to the troops?

The top U.S. commander in the Middle East warned Congress Wednesday against setting a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, saying it would impede commanders in managing U.S. and Iraqi forces.

The assertion by Gen. John Abizaid seemed to put him at odds with some Democrats pressing the Bush administration to begin pulling out of Iraq.

Abizaid spoke as the Senate Armed Services Committee began re-examining U.S. policy in the aftermath of last week's Democratic election victory, which gave them control of Congress starting next year.

In arguing against a timetable for troop withdrawals, Abizaid told the committee that he and other U.S. commanders need flexibility in managing U.S. forces and determining how and when to pass on responsibility to Iraqi forces.

"Specific timetables limit that flexibility," the general said.

US commander warns against pullout or timetable.....

Oh yeah, let's just stay forever and keep wasting more American lives... is that your idea of resolution??? LOL

hell, if we stay long enough we can just make Iraq the 51st state... you'd like that, wouldn't you...

cut and run???

Let's see... how many soldiers have been killed... oh no, I see, we should stay until how many MORE thousands of American soldiers are killed... uselessly, I might add...

"How many deaths will it take till they learn that too many people have died???"

You can't win a war like this when the words 'Human Rights' are so prevalent today. The US military could, theoretically, crush most nations out there. The reason they can't in reality is because, like a lot of the world, they are restrained by moral values that are against harming innocent people, thus they can't fight a guerilla war (where the enemy dress like the rest of the population and are hard to identify). Pull out now.

To me the best option is to split the country into 3 sections and get out of Dodge. I don't see how anyone getting control of the country without using Saddam like tactics. Saddam might be an @sshole, but there wasn't bombs going offing the street, unless it was ones we dropped.

I think that's because he ruled with an iron fist and preemptively eliminated any opposition.

I used to think the idea of splitting the country into 3 parts was kind of whacky, but if you look at the history, maybe it's not a bad idea. I think them guys in Turkey might be a little pissed though, if the Kurds officially get their own country.

I might be mistaken, but isn't Iraq a thrown together country by the British? The people there wouldn't have formed a country together on their own.

#### Turkey, we need to do what is in our best interest.

Okay let's just get outta there! Like thats gonna make things all better? My god! Then what? I guess it will be HIDE, WAIT,HOPE,PRAY. I hear alot about bailing out but nothing about an alternative plan on how to deal with these whacko's. Well to everyone that wants us out of Iraq I pose this question, Whats the plan? If any of you think the killing will stop.At best thats wishful thinking. The killing will slow down but when it does happen it will be in bulk and on our soil!
