Send the original to NVC. Make a copy to keep for your records plus NVC needs you to include a copy of all originals. Also according to your timeline you have a while to an interview date but you will need a new Police Report by then so take that on e with you for the interview.

Send the original and a photocopy to the NVC. Keep a a photocopy for yourself to bring to the interview.

how much is police report. i did my in benin city.

The cost for police certificate is usually between N3000-N5000. sometimes you may come across someone who will exploit you but still not that high :o . My husband paid N8000 the first time (even though I had told him the going fee) because he gave the woman the impression he needed it "express". He just got another one last week for his interview as the first one just expired and he paid N4,000 ( half the price of the first time).

I hope they accept the one from Benin. It used to be that the certificate MUST come from Alagbon Ikoyi but I dn't knw if that has changed.

you will definitely need another police cert cos it last only THREE months. you also will get your originals back at the embassy after the interview. if you are cold feet about it then a second option is to get Certified copies of the originals and must come from the issuing agencies of such documents. Its either original or certified copy. You make copies for yourself.

NVC dont need NO copies of the originals. NVC only needs Originals. If you send originals, you DONT need to send copies of the original you sent. I only send Originals upfront. No copies of the original and case is complete with nine (9)days.

You got that police report way to soon. Cases are talking 4 to 6 weeks just to get to NVC than another 2 weeks for case#. Be prepared to provide another Police report at interview. More than likely it will be listed in your checklist when your interview is assigned.

While they don't 'need' it(meaning your case will still be processed at NVC), they advise that you include copies of ALL as part of your package. That way you are guaranteed of getting your originals back after the interview. They warn that if copies are not included as part of your package, then dnt blame them of they decide to keep your originals since they need something for their own file after the entire process.

There is a link for that and will post it once i find it .

I would suggest you go to your interview with copies of all the originals you sent in so that you could exchange them at the embassy.

All the police reports comes from Alagbon in Lagos. Even if you went to your local division office in Benin, like we went to ours in Ibadan, they will send to Algbon for processing.

The cheapest I heard on here was N3,500, we paid N7,000 in Ibadan (Iyaganku Divisional HeadQuarters).

Good luck on the process.

Do I need to bring copies of the originals submitted to the NVC?

If photocopies of original documents were not provided to the NVC with the original submission, they should be presented during the visa interview so that the original documents may be returned to you.

What happens to the documents submitted to the NVC?

Original documents submitted to the NVC with photocopies will be returned to the applicant(s) when the interview has been successfully completed

My husband had his interview Friday. I had included copies of all originals to the NVC when I submitted the originals. Also I included in our paperwork updated financials (original and copies) for the interview.Everything was labeled "Copies-KEEP, Originals- return. When my husband came out I asked him where are all the originals. He said I asked the CO for them and he told me "tell your wife they will be returned to the US and sent back to her"!!!! I said NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday my husband received a call from the Consulate instructing him to return today by 1pm so he can pick up his documents. I HOPE THESE ARE MY ORIGINALS they want him to pick up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
