Visa Application Fee for K-1

Hey Everybody,

I'm just about ready with my documents to send in for Packet 3. I'm looking through the instructions and it doesn't say anything about a fee, but I remember people mentioning paying an application fee in previous posts. Can someone tell me where the information is about that?

Hey Travis & Meghan,

Thanks for that, but isn't that the filing fee for Packet 1? I'm talking about the fee that people pay when you send all the documents asked for in Packet 3 and then go for the interview in Sydney. I remember hearing people talk about it, having to pay it at the Post Office, etc. Just wondering why I can't find any info about it in my Packet 3 instructions.

Ohhh... I think I understand now. I just had a look at Vanessa's 'Australian Beneficiaries' thread, it looks like you don't pay the fee until after you've sent Packet 3 and the Consulate has written back to you giving you an interview date, and asking you to pay it then. Do I have that right, anyone?

When I went through in August 2011 you paid it at Australia Post after you've received your packet 4 and you took the receipt to the interview. However I think that there may have been some changes since then. The instructions will be in Packet 4.
