At this moment, and last week, and last month, and the month before.....and the month before that...pretty much to around october. Quite a long batch if you ask me.

I think if you have read the new programs and push for Immigration reform by the President. The two areas have been The Dream Act and the keeping families from being apart. That what I think has pushed the K1 to the bottom. Just my observations

Well if no one from USCIS will step up and tell us what is going on, all we can do is look at the data and make assumptions.

So why do you think I-129F applications are being under processed?

Actually the dream act it has something to do with the delay! In fact the workload were move to nebraska and Texas from vermont and california, to speed things up! Besides when I applied for my k- 1 visa back in 2011, a lot of people I knew got their noa 2 within 5 to 6 month (my noa 2 arrived in 4 month) and now I have met people who applied 8 month ago and No noa2! I have nothing against the DACA but is too obvious it cost a huge delayed

The USCIS wouldn't move ALL the DACA cases from VErmont and California where all the fiances and family visas are process, To texas and nebraska service center...a coincidence? i dibt think so....you can't be so naive to believe that the DACA has nothing to do with the delayed...im nit especulating, you can check what I said on the USCIS website

I believe that the DACA is something good! Great! But if you want to do it the USCIS should prepared themselves first, knowing that at least 1.000.0000 of illegals immigrants can be elegible for the DACA...

I'm all in favor of DACA. I just think that it's been rushed. USCIS should have been given additional funding and time to organize the logistics of handling the DACA cases before the first applications were ever accepted. If anyone is to blame, it's the current administration, and Congress for rushing things.

With some visa types taking literally years to obtain, USCIS already has enough on their plate without having this to deal with.

We're all just lucky that sequestration hasn't seemed to have an effect on USCIS.

This video is about people who were brought to the US as children by their parents, by no choice of their own. As adults they face all kinds of problems trying to integrate into a country they grew up in and the only place they know as home. These are the people who are eligible to apply for residency because of the Dream Act, I say they deserve a chance, just like everyone else. Just to remind you what the Dream Act is: The Dream Act provides conditional permanent residency to certain illegal aliens of good moral character who graduate from U.S. high schools, arrived in the United States as minors, and lived in the country continuously for at least five years prior to the bill's enactment.

Time and time again I see people on this site complain because their petition may be delayed because of Dream Act applicants. It is disgusting to think that people in this country are so self centered that they can't for one single moment imagine what it would be to in their shoes, faced with deportation because of something they had no control over in the first place, being brought here by their parents as young children. I can bet that the majority of people don't actually know what the Dream Act is. So before you whine about how slow your petition is going, and blame it on the so called 'illegals" that caused your so called delay, watch this video and then tell me the few extra weeks you had to wait was in vain. These people deserve a chance to stay, just like your husband/wife/fiance deserves the chance to be reunited with you.

This is not the fault of these children that are part of the dream act.. of course these kids have a right to stay just as much as anyone else, given the situation! This is really about Government mismanagement. The whole thing has been handled poorly, resulting in an overload! They obviously do not have a staff situation equipped to deal with such an overload of paperwork. I see no reason why the should need to rush these applications. After they have submitted their application they should not face deportation, and given the right to remain in the U.S. while their applications are being processed. This would mean there would be no need to rush these applications through fear of deportation. Then maybe there would be more of a balance a d less overload.

It is annoying that the government has dealt with this issue this way. Our 1 year son is a U.S. citizen already, and he has to wait maybe 9 months or more to go home and see his U.S. citizen father because of my k-1 visa application. It doesnt give a person the incentive to do anything legally, so i can understand why the U.S. has so many problems with illegal immigration. Nobody feeling the brunt of this. It is poor organization on the governments part.

*nobody should be feeling the brunt of this

The problem I have is that the workload of the USCIS has increased greatly and now they are way behind. It is very poor capacity planning on the part of the government.

I do have empathy for the young people like the ones in the video who petition and can benefit from DACA and want to stay in America. That said, I don't buy the way that the video depicted the US government and justice system as some 'big mean deportation bully' that has to be softened up. The fact of the matter is, these kids are picking up the tab because their parents or relatives didn't think about the consequences of their actions. Now the government is stepping in to try to alleviate the situation and, unfortunately, not thinking about the consequences of their actions. And everyone on here is picking up that tab.

The jury is still out on whether DACA is really helping these people. The video didn't cite any testimony or statistics that these kids are getting a favorable outcome. Some social programs work and some are ill-conceived. It's just too soon to tell.

And I-129F petitioners deserve to be reunited with their loved ones. Can you not think of what it's like to be in our shoes? Many I-129F petitioners are suffering a great deal of economic hardship (supporting a loved one overseas) and emotional hardship due to the separation. Furthermore, there are many situations (pregnancy, medical, domestic violence) that often make prolonged I-129F processing dangerous to the beneficiary. Have you no heart? Do you not care about those people?

Look, at the end of the day, I think the DACA program makes a lot of sense from a policy standpoint. But it does not make sense to hurry those applications through at the expense of a single other petitioner class. Everyone makes sacrifices by going through the USCIS. (Remind me, again, what the "C" stands for, by the way...) But to ask a single class of citizen petitioners to wait extra months while they process DACA apps at a historically brisk rate is just wrong. And they know it's wrong, which is why they never announce what they are actually doing and instead bury it in the data.

If you doubt me, I defy you to go visit the analysis I conducted on that data.

The crazy thing is that the workload at the CSC has not greatly increased by historical standards. In fact, the post-DACA months saw fewer applications on average than the pre-DACA months. What has changed, however, is that they have obviously decided that they must process DACA apps at a historically brisk pace and that it is appropriate to force I-129F petitioners to wait while they meet that goal.

You can see the reality here.

Dream act is a horrible idea! First of all you have children being raised by criminals, the child is more likely to exhibit criminal activities because of that. I've seen first hand how poorly our system is manipulated and the life squeezed out of it by people who come here and say they need to break the laws to live and make money to raise their family. And that is the major problem that will never be fixed. You have millions of people breaking the law that justify doing it. They are essentially saying some laws are breakable if they need to be broken. I believe when it gets to that point then you have to overthrow the government, instead of them working on theirs they came to our lenient system to get away with what they could. I believe our country was founded by immigrants, I just believe it should be done in a legal way and once they come here illegally they have basically already become a criminal. It's like the pot debate, it really does no harm but they call it the gateway drug to try other more serious things. Well being an illegal is a gateway criminal offense. If you don't believe this it will only take one event to change your mind same with the gun debate actually. If anyone ever breaks into your house and you are against guns you will change your mind quick. If someone uses your social security number just because they feel it necessary to work, good luck dealing with that mess. Now I don't disagree that there are people who come here and live a very upstanding life. But they still did it illegally. What's funny is that the "latino" vote is supposedly driving this reform. But latin people that came here legally are most likely not for the dream act, they feel it is unfair that they did things the right way and others get rewarded for bad behavior. So do illegals really not vote? Anyone that agrees with the Dream act does not have a grasp of what is really happening in our country. There are millions of babies born with illegal parents who get full benefits of a legal citizen the moment the child is born. I think that is more than enough reward for criminals. We don't have the best education system in the world so saying it was done for the children isn't something I buy. It was done because it's the easiest place to live off the government and get away with criminal activities. Until our government gets rid of the honor system it will be taken advantage of especially by those who took advantage of it just to live here.

Kids born to illegal parents are already citizens. And get benefits immediately. So very possibly there are 1 million kids or more getting benefits when their parents most likely have never paid taxes. It certainly isn't our countries only problem but it is a major one. Unfortunately our president has decided to take our most cricital problems and make them worse. Luckily he has only addressed health care and immigration reform... if he addresses much more I honestly feel it will break us. Hopefully the next president will re-address things back on track.
