actually I have seen many posts and comments here towards the recipients themselves. one just a few days ago by a man from Canada whining that his fiance had to wait because of the "illegals" as he put it from the Dream Act..

here is the link...read about 5 or 6 lines down...this is one of many people I have seen make similar remarks http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/420950-is-it-really-worth-it/

Actually that ranter you speak of was a USC (with a Canadian fiancee).

Not to split hairs, but the man doing the complaining is American.

The fiancé is Canadian.

Unfortunately I have seen his sort of vitriol on my Facebook newsfeed and in e-mails. Some people seem to want to believe every bad thing they read and choose sides regardless of the facts and don’t want to hear the other side of the story.

My complaining is solely on what USCIS has done to OTHER PETITION TYPES because of processing DACA casefiles.

That's it, my sole focus on complaining.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Common sense says DACA is the main factor, but not only of the downturn in K-1's at the CSC. The logistics required to complete DACA must pain staking. Think, new applications, software, database, storage systems, training, etc.

To simply say those waiting longer because of USCIS mishap in handling logistics are whining is completely unfair. DACA applicants are already in the country, why in the world would those applications need to be completed quickly is beyond me!!!!

Because in the meantime those kids can be deported. That's why they're trying to hurry them along. Did you watch the video? A teenager, who gets into Harvard, can't go because his parents brought him here as a child? He can be arrested and deported. He got into Harvard!!! Approximately 2000 kids make it into Harvard. I know life is not fair. But that is just not okay with me. I would have gladly replaced my spot in line for that child, he deserves it.

Its simple, the sooner they are processed, the sooner they can start paying taxes, and the money becomes available to use. Due to increase in tax rate in almost all the taxes except Medicare the government is going to see a decent increment in tax revenue. Also potential voter bank. If not for the next election, than election after. So they are being rushed. This is from my experience in politics and I do not think I am speculating based on what is happening here either. Just my two cents though.

We all have our stories...to say any one person deserves to be processed more than another person isn't fair either. So only only the elite should be processed? Not the common man?

Not really, unless you equate common sense to speculation.

Common sense would suggest that the more they delay K-1 applications the better off we are. Statistics say 50% of all marriages in the US will end up in divorce. By prolonging the K-1 process they might be able to weed out the weaker relationships out of these 50%. In addition, the longer one has to wait the more one has time to get to know one's fiance/fiancee which may cause a change in one's mind and avoid the countless cases of scam of which we hear about daily. That ought to diminish the time wasted with unnecessary K-1 requests, thus making the process faster for everyone else.

Shirley, I jest.

But they don't work on which application deserves to be processed first. They work on batches of applications as those are assigned to each center. Although the entire process is personal to you, it is not for the agents.

A scammer will wait it out without any emotional duress.

I was replying to the post that the hot shot Harvard student should go before others.

People are irritated because they feel like the DACA applicants are getting priority and they are already in the U.S. while people are waiting on their love ones to come into the U.S. and they have been waiting for a very long time. This is the problem that is occuring. The DACA applicants should not be receiving priority and they are already in the U.S. with their love ones.
