 Well said mimolicious, agree at 100%!

My father was illegal once, he came to the US in 1975, he naturalized in 1994.

I was born in the US, but he gave me school, a home, food, he is almost 60 and still works

hard at a company that works with steel, he works in extreme heat and extreme cold.

He makes enough to sustain my mother and my sister and still co-sponsored me for my fiancés K-1.

People who whine about the Dream Act disgust me. These "illegals" deserve a chance to live the American Dream

as long as they do it for good just like my father did and many other "illegals" are trying to do.

We ALL have to wait for anything and almost everything we want in life, we can't blame other people because our wants are not given to us at that exact moment.

I have seen people complain about the DACA cases, but not about the recipients of these cases. I do believe that the majority of the complaints are towards the way USCIS has handled this situation. I have not seen any personal attacks on "illegals", but I have seen complaints (and personally agree) that the influx of these cases by an agency that has significant resource constraints has caused unexpected delays in many people's lives. No one is blaming the "illegals"

Exactly, a large part of the reason we had the problems we did was DACA and the workload redistribution in USCIS, first of I-130s from CSC and VSC to NBC and then out to the field offices. The field offices had not been trained on how to handle standalone I-130s and many of them were so swamped that they have yet to adjudicate cases from August. It is a bit of a nightmare, in my opinion, and one that could have been solved by giving USCIS time to prepare instead of pandering to votes.

actually I have seen many posts and comments here towards the recipients themselves. one just a few days ago by a man from Canada whining that his fiance had to wait because of the "illegals" as he put it from the Dream Act..

here is the link...read about 5 or 6 lines down...this is one of many people I have seen make similar remarks http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/420950-is-it-really-worth-it/

And really, I don't blame the "dream actors", I blame CSC for poor case and resource management.

They could process all application types, but choose not to.

Aren't they illegal? Nobody wants to demonize them, as it largely wasn't their fault to be brought to America in the first place, but to delay the processing of legal immigrants for the purposes of catering to illegals does put a lot of people off.

The rub is that since there has never been a set time frame for the processing of immigration visas, there is no way to quantify if/how much these applications are delaying anything. IMHO it is the anxiety talking, rather than facts, because there are no reliable metrics available. Any information on the subject that you may find out there is based in assumptions, projections and estimates.

Well if no one from USCIS will step up and tell us what is going on, all we can do is look at the data and make assumptions.

So why do you think I-129F applications are being under processed?

The centers normally work on batches of documentation, rather than FIFO. For all we know they may be working on CR/IR or H visas at this point. There is really no way to know unless you are working at the center.

Well the data shows that they are working on all types except I-129Fs, and it is at a much lower rate than it has "normally" before. And it has been that way since before December. And the amount of other types( other than the new DACA) is the same as before.

In other words, at this moment, I-129F forms are being superseded by all CR/IR/I-130/H/L/O/F/N-400/etc processses, regardless of filing date. DACA may be one factor, but it is not the only one.
