Naming an Agent

It says in the paperwork that you can act as your own agent. What is this for? Should I use someone else too? CLUELESS!!

You must be at the NVC stage. Come to this link for NVC Filers read post #1 and #2.

The name agent DS-3032 form is just a way to tell NVC who can represent you. Most spouses have whoever is here. It doesn't matter because when you get case# you give them the petitioner and beneficiaries email. That's how they talk to you.

However you have to send them the DS-3032 thats what generates your IV Bill. Read the post.

Another question...we just got a notice saying that our next step is upon us...establishing communication with the embassy...so iºll send an email. but attached in the email is a letter for ME the petitioner to fill out??? or MY HUSBAND in PORTUGAL to fill out??? saying we are not naming an agent. Should I print this out? or should my husband, Luis, fill it out and send it in from Portugal to the US embassy. Iºm the petitioner....but the paper, at the top, says his name...but I, the petitioner, am the one who received the email saying weºre at the next step, which confuses me! please advise! sooo confused! as usual! it asks for a signature, but if Iºm filling it out, it wonºt be his signature, but mine. Do I as the petitioner have the right to fill this out on his behalf? if it was meant for him, why didnºt he receive it too?? Any light that can be shed upon my confusion would be much appreciated.

1. First where did you file? DCF at embassy?
2. Who sent you an email?
3. When did you get approved (ur I-130 I mean)?
4. Also what form are we speaking of DS-3032?

Sorry. Got it figured out. Weºre at the NVC stage and paying the 88 dollars, naming an agent, and i misread somethings. i need to breathe and focus better. thanks though!!

LOL. Yes please breathe and hurry get that DS-3032 in. Did you read the post I sent. You can email the template so much better than paper snail mail. And until they get the DS-3032 you won't be invoiced for the IV Bill so hurry.
