I am self employed

Do I write a letter explaining that since I am my own boss

Also I don't have pay stubs I do yearly 1040

2011 and 2012 both income are 30k each

And I'm claiming as single

Would that be enough or would I need a co sponsor?

Thankyou for your help

Yes, I recommend doing a self employement letter signed by you with your own.letterhead and making sure what exactly you do and how much money you made 2012 signed by you and not necesary but looks good to have it notorized. Also, make sure you atrach you 1099 with that, letter. I learnd this after I got a RFE because im also self employed as a hairstylist and I send in my 1099 but not the letter so I had to send it in after. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Refer to this chart to verify if you make enough to meet the 125% requirement. Don't forget to count all that will be living with you.

If line 22 of your most recent 1040 shows enough income for your household size plus the beneficiary, then you do not need a co-sponsor. Those that are self-employed do not have letters from an employer or pay stubs. You use complete copies of your tax returns with all forms, schedules, 1099s, etc. as proof of income.
