Wandering if anyone out there has had experience dealing with the U.S. Embassy in Ghana?

My husband had his interview there February 13, the said he needed more evidence to prove our relationship and rescheduled him for March 18. When he went on the 18th, with the prove they requested, he was greeted by a very rude interviewer! This lady asked my husband what type of movies I like and he listed them to her with Nigerian movies being in that list. She got an attitude and asked how can I watch Nigerian movies if I'm in the states? (HAS SHE NEVER HEARD OF YOUTUBE? )

The lady asked a few more questions, all of which he answered correctly then told him he needed to come back on May 16th! She didn't give an explanation as to why nor did she bother to look at the evidence he brought!

My husband and I have not seem each other

in a year and are fed up at this point.

We are considering just dropping all this and me move there. At this point we're not sure what to do!

Can someone please give us some advice on how to handle this? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Was he given a paper ? Sounds like he is undergoing an internal review of the newly submitted evidence.

Just have him go back when he was told May 16th. I strongly recommend that you will be there for the next interview. In case they refuse the visa you would be there to ask immediately to speak to the CO or chief consul.

It is not practical to talk about dropping it all 5 minutes before 12. You can do so if you get denied.

For now have him keep gathering continued relationship proof, some affidavits (letters)of your and his friends and families to attest to the bona fide relationship, more chats, emails, phone logs etc.

Then seriously think about going there in support of his interview. Another visit just may be the 'proof' they want to convince them.

You are too close to the finish line and if I were you quitting would not be an option but a visit would be a must.

You can go a week or so ahead of the interview, take lots of pics and submit them also.

When he went for interview in February, he was given a paper. But o March 18th he wasn't given a paper. The lady crossed out the date March 18 and wrote may 16th on the same paper he came with. As far as the documents go, she never looked at them,simply told him to bring them when he comes back in May.

I just went through the same thing too. Our schedule day is May 7th, my husband has provided all the documents and the woman said we need more proof but I am not going to tell you what to bring. I just shook my head in frustration. I know God has a plan. Stay focused.

That is pretty much what we were told. The CO said 'convince me' I asked what more do you want ( we had submitted 12# of

relationship evidence ) and she said she can't tell me that. It is ridiculous.

Your husband is being put in AP/document verification (my emphasis, 'Delay tactics').

He will get the visa issued to him eventually so don't give up yet. You have come too far to turn back. Best!

The paper said we needed more evidence of a bonafide marriage such as phone records, western union receipts, pictures, chat history etc! We gathered all that plus letters from friends and family!

That is good, I still believe you should be there at the interview. That visit may be the deciding factor.

Sorry for your wait but one thing about this process is growing patience and PRAYER ... and adding as much as possible of the things mentioned below will help. Also have him get phone records from his end showing he calls you. Try to get evidence from the very first HELLO ... & show nothing less than 75 pics. It helps if you have pics from fb where friends commented and you are able to print those out as well.... ~BLESSINGS~

1. Photos; Photo showing you and the petitioner. Photos taken over several years time the most useful. (Over time)

2. Cards and letters from your petitioner; Cards and letters are most useful with the original envelope and postmark. Cards and letters mailed to you after your first interview will not be considered. (Over time)

3. Phone Records; There are monthly lists of phone calls to you that the petitioner can obtain from his/her telephone companies. Phone cards are not accepted. Phone records should be clearly marked to show calls the calls to you. Please provide several months of calls. (Over time)

4. Remittance slip; Please arrange in order by date. (Over time)

5. Emails; Provide emails sent and received over time. Emails received by an applicant after the interview will not be considered.

6. School records or child medical or weighing cards.

7. Other evidences you may be able to provide.
