For me it was approx. 7 weeks, but I did have a delay of four weeks sending back Packet 3... So I'd say if I had sent everything back right away, it might have only been around 3 weeks. Good luck! :)

that doesn´t sound too bad, like I might get a little lucky after all. I´m with the California Service Center, I don´t know if you heard how long they´re currently taking for a NOA2!? It´s a joke! But hopefully the consulate part will be superquick as you said. Thanks guys and good luck for you too (F)

Yes, California is extremely slow right now. Though you never know what might happen - last year (when I had applied) California was three months ahead of Vermont, and I remember how terrible I felt when I saw people who had applied weeks and months after me getting approved just because they were in the "right" service center. I think California will be speeding up again soon, and the consulate in Frankfurt is usually really on top of things.

How did you cope with the long wait and your life being in USCIS´ hands if I may ask? It just seems so unfair. I saw that a couple of CSC filers with Haitian beneficiaries got their NOA2 ridiculously fast, in just a few weeks. And many others have been waiting since July. I just don´t understand the logic behind it.

BTW, I just saw that you recently got married, congratulations! :luv: you made it!!!!!

Hi,

We received NOA 2 on March 4th and have been preparing all the necessary paperwork including I230, etc. Are we to receive the instructions from the consulate or can we just send everything (1inch thick materials, including updated ongoing relationship evidence) with the case number? We can't wait any longer!! Thanks.

Thanks! We are really happy to finally be together. :)

I just tried to keep myself busy with work, university and my Bachelor Thesis... or just working out, reading, taking long walks, you name it. But yeah, my life pretty much revolved around NOA2 for those months, excessively checking the USCIS website and Igor's List. At some point, I even had to take some time off Visajourney, since it was way too depressing and stressing me out.

I think Haiti gets automatic expedites because of the humanitarian situation there after the earth quake.

Just try to distract yourself, everything will be fine! (F)

you´re very sweet for saying that! I think I will need some time off of this site too, I am officially obsessing about the whole issue!

I am surprised USCIS would even care about any humanitarian situation, but that must be the reason.

Enjoy your new life with your love! Keep in touch if you like, would be nice!
