As both of you are chasing a K1 visa I suggest asking in the K1 forum. Each consulate will be different. Some require you to schedule your own interview and others, the interview is scheduled for you. You can also call the NVC on Monday to find out what's going on with the case.

I too am applying for a K1 and had my NOA2 approved 3/8/2013. My case number was assigned 3/21. I just called and was told the case goes through additional processing and that can take 2-4 weeks. I just don't understand that some K1's are processed and sent out within days and others are not.

Ok I just called to ask some questions. I asked how the case was set up. Wanted I make sure it is set up as a fiancé and not marriage. I was told fiancé and that it was processing. I asked how long will it take to process. I was told he could not tell me. When I called earlier I was told 2-4 weeks. I mentions the approval (noa2) is only good through July. The rep said he stil could not offer me a standard processing time. Who can I call to address the discrepancy with information provided?
