My fiance had his interview on March 6. He said the woman interviewing him was very nice, and smiled. She asked him only three questions, however, about 1. my previous divorce (which happened a year ago, after a three year custody battle 2. his work experience and 3. his plans in the US. She then told him that everything was ok, but handed him his passport and said she would contact him in 1 or 2 weeks. She did not give him a 221g form or ask him for any additional information.

I lived in Morocco with my daughter for three years, and worked at the American School, where my fiance also worked for 4 years (I returned to the US in summer of 2012, and he left the school in January 2013 when his father became ill.) We met at the school, and began dating three years ago. We have been engaged for a year, after my divorce was finalized in the US. I have a five year old daughter, for whom I have sole custody, and my fiance basically has raised her with me in Morocco. She calls him \"Daddy\" and misses him terribly. We provided a LOT of evidence, and my income in the US is far above the minimum necessary. This is a very stressful process, and any insight/advice would be greatly appreciated! THe uncertainty right now is very difficult for all of us, not the least my daughter, who wants to know when her Dad will be coming to the US.

They will need his passport to print the visa. Once they request his passport you will know he is good to go.

Until then, I would check back with them since it has been more then two weeks to make sure there are no outstanding issues you are unaware of. You would hate to find they are waiting on him for something. Since he never received any slip or indication if he was approved or not it is worth checking on.

My husband had never received any form/letter at his interview either telling him if he passed or not. It turns out later they had filed him as not even showing up for his interview since they had no record of giving him any paper when he left either! I am not trying to worry you at all... I just am saying it is worth checking into if it is past the timeline they gave him.

Best wishes for a speedy finish! :star:

Thanks so much! How do you suggest I contact them? Does an email work? Phone has been less than successful- probably due to my less than excellent Arabic;-). Thank you so much for your response!

I hope that you will receive good news soon. This journeyis a difficult one! Have you thought about contacting your staterepresentative? I did this during our journey, although not everyone does. Icontacted two but only one responded, they contacted the consulate and inquiredabout my case, etc. and I received updates from them. In the meantime I would continueto try and contact them - not sure what is the best way but I know I emailedonce and received a response a few days later. Good luck! Keep your head upthis is only the beginning to a longer journey.

It would be rare for a male from your consulate not to go into AP and that tends to last for months. I do wonder about not keeping the passport as they usually do.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I don't agree that it's rare for men to not go through months of AP after in interview in Casa. I'd suggest continuing to call and getting a Senator involved. Hopefully they'll let him know to bring his passport soon!
