As a Navy vet I'm all for expidite active duty about to deploy, the rest in most cases can wait. And I know how hard it is to wait... 235 days so far.

there are exceptions for every rule and should be looked at case by case, I'm not here to say who should be at the front of the line.

I feel as entilted as anyone to get my case handled quickly, to me everyone should be expdited. No one should have to wait a year to see there wife.

I feel the pain your are all going through. Hang in there everyone.. we have all come this far! Stay positive! Trying to keep myself busy every day. Its good to vent though. I found it helps a lot to talk to others in the same situation. Makes us aware that we not alone in this bureaucratic nightmare, and can give eachother support as a community.

I agree, I found it very helpful talking with people here. I was going positively insane but seeing others in the same boat makes it a little easier. I honestly thought there was no one else facing this. The support is definitely very welcomed and took a bit of the stress off my mind.

Thank you everyone for sharing and I'll pray it all goes smoothly for all of us.

And keep each other up to date with how we are doing with the process.

Also. i thought i would share this information with you all.. if you have not already seen it on the USCIS website, under their latest updates:

USCIS Revises Public Hours of National Customer Service Center

The USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) is introducing new public hours of operation for our toll-free number at 800-375-5283. Effective immediately, USCIS will eliminate Saturday hours of operation. Beginning April 1, the NCSC will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, in all four time zones in the contiguous United States. This adjustment will allow USCIS to better serve customers during peak contact hours and respond more quickly to customer needs.

As always, customers can check the status of their case, change their address, or submit an e-request 24 hours a day by visiting www.uscis.gov. In the coming months, USCIS plans to launch a number of additional customer service enhancements to further improve the quality of our customer service.

 What are your thoughts on this???

i saw this thread and thought id give you guys a reason to be thankful about your own frustrations not being bad as mine.

i am the filipina fiancee and have two kids from a previous marriage that will come with me once the visas are approved. We have been waiting for our NOA2 since it was sent in july 26, 2012. (Actually, the kids have been waiting longer than that as my US fiance and i have been in a long distance relationship for 8 years now.)

However,i think the frustration of having to wait this long took its toll on my eldest (almost 19 yrs old). She decided to leave home (probably thought she can make it on her own and decided to be the boss of herself) and i dont know where she is at now. Now, i am not even sure she would turn up when the USCIS-CSC finally releases our NOA2.

Oh well, that is me venting...just when i thought i reared her right, she would do this...just when we are so close to being with her soon to be stepdad ( they are close and she adores him as a dad).

anyways, probably this isnt so bad for some, maybe i am just being too dramatic. but i cant help but wonder that if the noa2 had come sooner, we didnt have to deal with this at all.

i just hope we all get our answers to our long overdue petition cases soon before anything else bad happens.

If your daughter finds its not as easy as she thought it would be on her own, maybe she will decide to come home. Hope things get better for you soon.

as far as i know, kids can opt to follow to join within 1 year of when the K1 visa of their parent gets approved.

and the kid needs to be listed in the original I-129f petition.

I can relate! Ours is 3 as of February and she's a tornado! Daycare alone while I went through school was(still is) over $800 a month. The kids get medical but as for me and any other assistance, it's a no-go. The process is starting to get to me as well but all you can do is pray and hope you see that update when you check USCIS for the 100th time that day. I'm hoping he's here before I have to start paying student loans back this year so I can at least save on daycare. I have high hopes, though. The waiting time between visits have been just as long. :) It's just one small page in a very large book in your life! Keep your chin up! It won't be forever!
