I rec'd my Pub Grub delivery just yesterday so I haven't had a chance to eat any of it yet. But hopefully the bangers and haggis didn't defrost too much. I'm hoping to enjoy the food, not get poisoning!

I'm looking forward to the scones and clotted cream

Well I had one of the bangers for supper last night. I made myself banger, beans and mash. Yum. It was a good sausage, and I didn't get poisoned :D I also had a scone with cream and jam for dessert. It was very nice. Its been a while since I had some clotted cream!

Now Ijust have to find some friends to help me eat the haggis! I don't think I can eat a whole pound myself!

Yeah if I could find some naan bread it would be lovely.

I normally just do a good thick pita but it isn't the same as I found when I visit England.

Masterd the Yorkie Pudds...Kinda had too.

I'd love to get some proper sausages to do bangers and mash like all of you. But I will keep looking.

I did find a few things at The World Market in the foods sections. Candies, Beans (Heinz of course), Birds custard...several other things too.

Great thread...now I am jonesing for some naan!

The other halfs main concern about the move is the lack of proper beer on this side of the Atlantic. We found Stella etc in the local stores, but he likes the sewage looking beer. Found a great brewery.. www.olddominion.com. They have everything he was worried about missing. The pub attached had awfully good food as well.

Sam Adams beers are pretty good, and most people (Americans ;) ) think they're imports and not domestic. They actually have some flavour in them. I bought a case of the Holiday Favourites (I think that's what it was called) with a bunch of different flavours. And they have a "regular" sampler 6 pack that you can find in most stores. They even have a stout. I dunno if that's a regular or a holiday special tho.

Most of the import beers I see in stores around here are stuff like Corona, Heineken, and oh...####### I can't remember the one I usually buy...its an English brown ale...Newcastle Brown! But I live in a small town where folks don't seem to have much of a discerning taste ;)
