Questions about process

Hello everyone. I'm an American and my husband is Australian. We decided to move from Australia to the US last year, and so started the I-130 process. We just received the NOA2 approval email.

Currently we are in the US. I transferred back here with my company. My husband is here on a visitor visa. We know he has to go back to Australia for the interview, but we would like to minimize the amount of time he has to spend there. Particularly as I'm seeing that the Sydney consulate appears to be very slow right now.

My question is this. What msut be done back in Australia? For instance, can we do the police report from here? If so, do you know where we can get fingerprints? Can he do the medical here? If someone can help us understand the steps and where they have to be done, that would be great.

Thanks

Anne and Mark

Police check yes, medical no. So he may as well do the police check in Australia as well.
