As yesterday was the official birthday of President Lincoln, February 12, and although it was a tragic time in our history, I can assure you that it shows the greatest promise of America when people could come together and do something great. This is an example of how effective 5 million people can be when they are equally distributed among the population and no one really knows who they are. Kind of like people carrying concealed firearms! Concealed votes! The politicians KNOW they are there and dare not risk it.

Gerrymandered minorities are neutered because their representation is limited to those assigned districts and no one else needs to worry about them. When minorities are represented "at large" you get results like the NRA enjoys. When they are gerrymandered, you get Sheila Jackson Lee.

This will end in increased NRA membership, increased NRA funds to fight them off next time, increased firearms sales, increased firearms owners to be represented in the electorate and will make it even more difficult the next time they try to take away our individual rights. State efforts are going to end soon as most states legislatures go to recess. Any laws that were passed will be struck down shortly with prevention for any further nonsense from other states. IF the UBC law passes at all it will be by NRA agreement and adjustment and should actually improve our ability to keep guns out of the hands of criminals...at least the ones that obey the guns laws
