well, that's certainly fine for just a letter of complaint,

but

I'd never suggest one write a request for congressional inquiry in that format, using that verbiage, ever.

Perhaps you weren't seeking to request a congressional inquiry ?

Perhaps everyone who responds in a negative way to MY right to contact MY government representative should take stock of their own lives. This is, as it was mentioned above, a place to offer support. I'm human. The people I write to in the government or wherever are human too. We all put on our pants in the morning and do human things. They are not above me.

thanks for your reply. I know that I am not the only person that has waited 6 months. I am me though. And I think I've waited too long as it is. If anyone else wants to contact their representative, then go ahead. If they feel fine waiting, then that's fine too. I did what I did, and I'm not sorry.

I know how you feel coz I was like that too! When we pass to the 5 month waiting time we started to contact our congressman and 2 senators... After 2 weeks we heard something from our case... We got an RFE and it was fine at least we know they are working on our case...

Our rationale about contacting our congressman and senators is not to get ahead of others though! It is more like to satisfy ourselves that we did something other than waiting... If writing or contacting those people won't help us well at least we know we tried every possible way we know which could help us and our case... And lucky for us that it did work out...

I hope you hear about your case sooner... Hopefully a positive one... Good luck!

We wrote the congressman after several months without clearer answer we wrote to Ombudsman. They have given us the same answer wait for 60 days etc.

Honestly, we did everything. We even got expedite request approved last February 12 as well.

I realized that even we did everything at our end, after the hard work and follow through. USCIS will still work according to their system. We were depressed from 8 months to almost 10 months of waiting. We got approved on our 297 days.

Its really up to you whether you will inquire like how we did, when there are lots of people here in VJ who waited and got their NOA2 without being hurt of useless answers from above mentioned offices.

Cheer up!!!! You'll be together soon. You will not even remember the pain when NOA2 is at your hand. :star: :star: :star:

same here I dont feel they can give help with this thing :(( I am 8 mos already :((

It's not a level that I am referring to. I'm not even referring to your right to contact a government representative. Other's have complained to you about stuff, but I'm not complaining about stuff..

I'm focusing on verbiage and content, only. Scope and focus is important, also.

Is there anyone else around you that you could utilize for critique-ing your letter writing ?

I not suggest that you are writing to someone above you.

I note delineation between complaint and request for inquiry.

That's all, that's it.

As to pants? We'll leave that for another time, aye?

Are you suggesting that I do not know how to write? And, no, they are not above me. All men were created equal. I'm not about to get into a pissing match with all of you, so, with that said, I will go to bed, and let you all argue amongst yourselves. I sent the letter. I will not change what I wrote, nor will I apologize to anyone for it. And, if I don't hear a response or don't like a response, I will write again and again. Those of you who critique me for not waiting long enough, or complain that others get the grease for complaining to their gov't representatives, go on and wait without doing anything. That is your right. I'm exercising mine.

Ok...2nd senator contacted.

Senator Portman,

I wish to write to you regarding an urgent, (to me,) subject. I spent time in the Philippines last year, and met a lovely young lady. I have applied for an I129F, (fiancé visa,) in order to bring her here to the US. I have every intention of marrying this beautiful woman. I have contacted your peer, Sharrod Brown, but he has not seen fit to respond to me.

My petition has been sitting in the California Service Center of the USCIS since October 4th, 2012. I am past their 'goal' they have set by almost 2 weeks, but it would appear that I am still several months down in the queue. This does not fly with me. The USCIS is a self funded entity, and should have little or no problem keeping up with these requests. In one of their newsletters, they spoke of sending some of their overload to the Texas Service Center, particularly the DACA cases. While I know it is important to move the DACA cases forward, at least these children are already in the US.

This mess is causing severe financial strain on me. The money I spend to support my 'future' family overseas is money I am not spending here. It is also placing unnecessary strain on our relationship. I have not seen her since early November, 2012. When was the last time you saw your wife?

I ask that you please use any resources you have to help me, and, in turn, help all of those that are waiting to be reunited with their loved ones. Please note that the purpose of the I129F was to shorten the time couples will be apart. We are quickly being passed by all of our married friends.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Ron Irving

October 4th? I know you have been waiting for a little while but unfortunately there are july/ august and september filers before you who have waited even longer. I am unsure USCIS will want to do anyting with your case at this point.

I am an auhust filer and a month and a half ago we had contacted a senator and it didn't do anything. Last week we contacted our congressman and our petition is now out with an officer for adjudication. So i suggest you wait until CSC is a little further down cases. I've seen a few lucky september filers skipping through, with luck but that's it.

The NOA2 is NOT an approval, just means your petition has been approved. Still have to do interview with supporting evidence, can still be denied.....

Wow. What a weird thing for you to take so personally for some reason. You don't have to marry him. And he's not trying to jump in line; he's trying to make the line move faster, something everyone around these parts should be doing. It sounds like it'd be healthy for you to constructively vent like Ronn did.

A lot of people say it's no use to call Senators and Congressman and the reason why I say that is because of how arrogant he was responding. So yes he's just trying to jump in line.

I'm not going to explain why I take it personally but I know some people who haved babies and who'd be the ones to complain.

And for a K1 yes we have to marry.
