These morons have no clue and should be nowhere near our RIGHTS. The law in New York was nonsense and changing it back means it is nonsense OR the Governor wants more people to die. The lawsuit filed by the NRA will get such arbitrary nonsense eliminated permanently.

FWIW, for the "magazine is the same as a clip" idiots...assault rifles do not have a "muzzle brake" (or "break") They have a FLASH HIDER. A flash hider redirects gases from the muzzle for various reasons. To eliminate blinding the shooter in the dark with a bright flash, to redirect gases up to prevent dust clouds when the rifle is fired in the prone position close to the ground (very effective in match shooting) NONE of these purposes can prevent crime. Only an idiot would think they could. They probably also think that if you take the spoiler off the trunk of a sporty car it prevents drunk driving. Makes as much sense.

Muzzle BRAKES are used on large caliber weapons, usually beginning about caliber .50" and also on cannon mounted on tanks, artillery and such.
