If you will file for both of your spouse and child, use ONLY ONE form. :-)

You will also pay filing fee for ONE person only.

i am in USA, both my spouse and child are here too. wife on h1(SSN issued) and child on h4(i dont know y SSN not issued to her).

bit confused if thats a right option to fill one form for both and paying one fee.

please re confirm

You just need to submit one form and pay one fee since your child is a derivative and you are a LPR. And the child's name will appear under child/ren of the beneficiary. Once your paper submitted to NVC and when the time comes that you are asked to pay IV fees, you will then need to pay separate fees for your wife and child/ren.

If in case during the process, you become a USC, that's the time you need to file a separate form for your spouse and child.

Dont worry, we did the same and it went all well. My husband filed for us (me and my daughter) sending one form ONLY and paying one fee. :-)

I have sent the link above. The I-130 fee is $420 which you will pay when you submit the form.

The IV fee if i am not mistaken is $404 per qualified individual. So if you are to petition for your spouse and child, you will be paying $808.

Remember submit only ONE I-130 plus $420. This will ensure that your spouse and child will have the same priority date. :-)

Others might tell you to submit separate forms. Dont do that. You might get two different PDs for them. I am telling you this based on my experience. We are waiting for our PD to be current
