Hi everyone,

I´m now in process of filling in all the documents needed to adjustment of my status. I´m here on B2 visa and about to marry my bf (U.S.citizen) of four years. I´m having hard time filling in certain blanks:

1) Once married, my last name will change. I´ll be filling all the paperwork afterwards, so should I refer to my last name as my spouses last name or keep my maiden name? I´m not sure how fast the name changes but my passport will still say my maiden name...

2)I-130

part C question 10) I do not have an A (Alien) number. Do I put N/A or fill in the I-94 number?

part C question 22) as we´re filling concurrently, do I put Chicago as the place where we apply for adjustment of status?

3)I-765

question 13)place of last entry into the U.S. - do I put NYC as that was the actual place where I physically "entered" US or my final destination of the trip?

question 16) there are three brackets, in my case, do I put © (0) (9)??

4)I-864

I don´t understand much this form... my bf makes 58 000/year and has no mortgage or car loan. He only pays off his student loan which isn´t more than 10 000USD. However, he started working only 5 months ago because he was a student before. Hi tax returns in previous years won´t reflect any real income. Is it a problem? Should we include a letter from the employer and what should it say?

Thank you millions of times for answering those questions!!

1. The new last name

2.

10) Put "none"

22) No, put the office nearest to you

3.

13) Yes, place you entered (i.e. went through immigration controls). This is on the I-94's stamp as a 3-letter code.

16) You don't have to fill in all the bubbles if you don't need it. Just leave the last one blank: ( c ) ( 9 ) ( )

4. A letter from employer is nice to verify his current income, especially since his tax returns don't show much; but it's not absolutely required. It should say he works there and what his annual income is. It's his current income that matters.
